Explains a lot why some of his posts were so introspective. I think we must remember that there are things none of us would write in an open forum for all the world to see. Bad health in the people close to you is no stranger to me. But i choose not to write about other peoples health here. None of those people in question go on forums, so it wouldn't be fair of me to start posting about there medical condition. Just to say i am not indifferent to what is said in this tread. I do care. But it is a choice i have made not to go into details about these things.

True Leif. Just as in other things some people are more open to sharing while others are not. We know that you do care & that your life is not perfect but that your prefer to remain private about it.
We are all so different but one thing is for sure: we care about each other even though we have never met & we do think about members in our daily lives & wish the best for them.

Is the insert hyperlink button working for you? It did nothing when I tried to add clickable link. I added the brackets and all manually no biggie just thought would mention .

A little quirk added ... clicking on the Info Centre bar hides it.
Ideal, if like me you hate clutter ...

Sorted. I'm not sure why coding conflicts cause that to happen. Especially as when you delete the stray text ... the codes still work

Sometimes some people makes things just a little bit to smart.

Not tried it yet. I do like this website though. It works for me. Highlight your text. Click on the hyperlink icon. A box appears where you insert the link, click OK and then you are asked which word to include the link. Enter `this' , click OK and that`s it.

Just a question regarding the new forum. When I write a post then preview it, if I want to go back and make changes before I post it I find that I end up back at the thread I am replying to instead of the page where I am creating the post. Is there a way of previewing, but not going back to the thread? Or am I just doing something wrong here?

I did a test post, and yes, if I hit the Back button after I Preview, it goes back to the thread.
But, if I don't go Back, I can still make changes in Preview, before I click Create Post.
Does this make sense?

Thanks BP. Tried doing what you said and that seems to be the answer. This forum seems to work a bit differently to others I am used to. It does not actually show you the post alongside the text editor so I never realised. Thanks.

I think I found a plug-in that would automatically resize large image, but I think it has to be set. See this thread for more info. What do you think, BP? I also noticed something really nifty, but might be an annoying feature, if you type "@" before any of the members' name, it would automatically create a hyperlink to the member's profile, I think. Example: Goonfella.

I made a play page on here too, to test a few things and tried the Plugin for re sizing the images. You have to have the images at normal size first, then after having the plugin set (and size) by the Admin, the site automatically re sizes. But ..... it leaves a message with it which doesn't look so good. See here on my play page: digitalpainting.freeforums.net/thread/4/gallery-paint-net

Thanks Trevor. I saw that one too. If we all agree, and don't find the message too intrusive - and I don't think it is, after all, we want to see the full size image - I can make it resize images to thumbnail size. If I studied really hard, I could possibly write a plugin for thumbnails. In 20 or 30 years. So, informal poll - thumbnail size images with a message on top?

That's one problem I have with Imgur...they don't seem to offer the option to automatically write a thumbnail code like Photobucket could. Well, there is a possibility but seem too roundabout. Let me see what I can do. Edit: Hold the phone. Edit 2: woooooooootttt! Got it to work! Gonna have to write a how to.
