Thanks Lance! I appreciate the advice and the comments. GridGrad is Grid Gradient, a new plugin by pyrochild. It hasn't been officially released, but Possum got permission to use it in the last WOTW competition. forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/22536-wotw-36/

If I get over my GridGrad addiction. It is one of those plug-ins. So many different ways to use it ... and even more ways to Distort it afterwards I would tell you to join GeeGee Anonymous ... but that sounds more like a gamblers thing ;D

First meeting of GridGrad Addicts Anonymous - GGAA.
Hi. I'm blackpenny and I'm addicted to GridGrad. I'm not admitting I have a problem, just saying. I don't really want to be "cured".
Oh heck, let's just call it PDNAA. I still don't want to be cured. ;D

Great stuff blackpenny. Just in time for Halloween, the colors that is. Honeycomb, hexagonal grid and blackorange grid grad? LOL Don't ask me to figure out how you distorted the center of the blackorange one though!

Honeycomb made me shudder. I hate bees. And I can actually hear the buzzing inside that comb. Awesome job!

Hi my name is barbieq & I am a PDN addict...
I love bees, love honey, love honey comb but this one is just the bee's knees. Not fond of the black/orange one as much. The honey comb one seems to be vibrating with the buzz of bees & the colour is fabulous. I love the colour of amber. Fabulous work, BP!

Thanks venicet, moninca, and barbieq! I love honey too, I use it in my tea instead of sugar. Honeycomb is gridgrad and hex grid/ shaped gradient. Black and orange is kind of weird, but I like the way the squares are distorted. How I got that is: layer 1 layer 2 Blend mode difference. And if I mess with Blend Modes I can get all kinds of neat colours. My next project will be something without gridgrad.

Thanks Helen. I like using it, but after a while I find I'm doing the same things over and over again and really need a change. Just to get my brain going in a different direction. It's tough, but I think I can do it! EDIT: I just checked out WOTW 37 on the main forum, and the theme is Rusty Time. I might have to go back to my rust experiments now.

I would have never thought of using dingbat fonts. I keep forgetting that sometime the best way to use symbol would be to use dingbats instead of finding graphics online. Have you tried my metallic/glassy tutorial? Just wondering.
