There are different ways of dealing with these jaggies. Personal favourite is to work on a 4 x larger canvas than the finished product & Gaussian Blur at 2. Feather & AA Assistant work well too.
I wonder if we have a thread on dealing with the jaggies. I am sure there are many times when we refer to the dreaded jaggies "potions" on individual posts. Might be good to have them all in one spot?

The jaggies can be a curse. My PC doesn't like working @ x4 or 3 X even
If AA-Assistant fails. After that I try AA-Assistant and Old Feather Radial bur and Motion blur can be kind if you're prepared to make a few selections ...

I wonder if we have a thread on dealing with the jaggies. I am sure there are many times when we refer to the dreaded jaggies "potions" on individual posts. Might be good to have them all in one spot? Needs to have some heavy examples shown, but I agree. While I would love to work at 2x,4x etc I run into issues with how long it takes to run a pass with some of the tools etc. Plus the fact I just dont have enough memory (32 bit limitation, etc) to push enough layers at that level. I should probably link how AA actually happens. I found the code for how it's achieved without the reduction to get 2*2 , 3*3 reduction rather fascinating. The coding is hardwired into all of our new fangled graphics chips ... just too bad PDN is so tied up on the PC's processor for what it does right now. The changes in 4.x (if most of them come about) should make the various tools etc more capable of all that. And yes, I'm aware of the other blurs, but I've had to spend my money elsewhere than my desire for a graphics card for my machine here to take advantage of the speed. Main point above is that so much of the other problems are directly related to the limitations of the PDN code and suffer from not being able to make calls to the graphics cards could help with for those of us who like working on a fixed canvas ... Though I will say I'm getting better at guessing what will reduce. Just seems to be a real crap shoot with some things.

Hello, this was a fun tut. I got sidetracked on my first try and made, I guess, what could be used as a card. So, here's my second try.

Sargon, Thanks. I was going through your gallery and got sidetracked by your diamond 'cause I wanted to put something like that in the middle of my stained glass. Well, maybe next time.
Blackpenny, Thank you
Haven't been in a church for a long while and didn't know the windows had hearts on them.
Wanted to add that I'll have to study up on them to make something fancier. Glass blobs and sparkly jewels too.
