Knew it was from Yellowman's tutorial the second I saw the image. Nice job, especially the orb! I think the color scheme is well done, compliments one other, and in warm hues. Props, sir.

Thanks Trev. I also took your advice with the Virgin Galactic image and adjusted the position of the text. How is it now?

I copied your artwork and did an image analysis. Wouldn't you know it!? You have perfectly placed the shuttle right smack in the rule of third as shown below. So, what I did instead was move the text and logo slightly to the right and underneath the bottom left thirds, and it almost follows the golden ratio rules, I think. To calculate the lines for thirds, I multiplied 800 by .33 and .66, and placed the lines accordingly. Likewise for horizon lines.

The shuttle has always been there so at least I got that right! I did get the feeling that I may have moved the logo a bit too far. You have just confirmed that for me so I will make some final adjustments. Thanks for taking the time Trev.

Thought of a name for No Name. Crown of Thorns because it reminds me of, yes you guessed it - a crown of thorns!

Awesome outcome, and the name is perfect.
I'm sure I did that tutorial, I'll have to check my files. It's probably still with the stuff from my old computer.

It's a great title, Goon and it's a lovely image.
It would look great resized into a humongous image and framed and then hung up on a huge wall.

Humongous? Now that's a word I haven't heard in a long time. Thanks Helen

You're very welcome, Goon. I always use the word "humongous" when I speak. I have no idea why.

I always like looking through your gallery on the main forum, you have such original and creative work. You really show the power of paint.net

Valley Views just posted. My take on looking up at Uranus from the moon Miranda. Not an accurate view but it`s not meant to be. Part photo-manip, part created from scratch. Enjoy.

Wow. That is awesome. Just the right faint highlight on the rocks. Makes them look so real. And the faint mist; looking so frosty cold. Great work.

Yeah , -187° C frosty! If you want to chill out that`s the place to go! Glad you like it Leif. Thanks.

It's a very beautiful scene, Goon. It's so amazingly breathtaking. I love the beam of light. Just pure genius of you. As always.

Thanks Helen. It`s always nice to read your comments. The beam of light I think you are talking about is actually the rings. Uranus does have them, not as spectacular as Saturn`s but they are there. I never actually added a beam of light in the image so this is the only thing I can think of that might explain your comment. Thanks anyway - at least I have found another way to make a beam of light now!

Awesome, Goonie! I like the transparency of the closer moon. I would have liked to be there a few days ago when it was 32C here!

Thanks BP. Personally I think 32C much nicer. Imagine all the gear I would have to wear on the motorbike to keep warm! Another image. This is an adaptation of Pixey`s new Clapper Board tut on the main forum. I have called it Carry on Clapping ( not Creating like on the board)

Here is a WIP using Red Ochre`s excellent new Gears plugin. Apart from a few adjustments to the cogs left to do it`s just about done. Next up is the part I hate most - texturing everything. And in this one each and every part will need to be done separately. Oh the joys of PDN!

New image. It is the textured version of the clock I posted above. I have called it Clockworks. There are a few changes to the first one. Firstly I redid all the gears to make the number of teeth realistic and to make sure they meshed properly. I also completely redid the spokes of the clock and made fancier hands for it. Hope you like it.

Very cool - I like the texture. I can't keep up with all the new plugins. Maybe I'm getting too old for this.
