Glad to hear that, leif. We finally had some rain. We had a mini-drought.

It must be catching ... 3 days of glorious sunshine here too. The one downside is sometimes too much flesh on display by people who really shouldn't ... I won't let that stop me basking in it ... not when the forecast is a week of rain next week ---------------------------------------- I haven't had much to smile about lately but one thing that did was BabyBlue starting her 1st job today in a sandwich bar and cafe, and the phone call from her boss telling us how much of a credit she is to us. Hardworking, polite Maybe it's time to start forgiving the stroppiness and lasiness at home and give her her laptop back ?

Oh, Welshblue. BabyBlue deserves her laptop back. Such nice things were said about her. ;D

Yeh but she lost the laptop for something she called me when we were having a difference of opinion. I'm very liberal parent, but boundaries have to be kept within.
I resisted the 'eyes' and she's gone to bed without it. But still got her phone. So one day she'll realise I'm not so hard ...

The one downside is sometimes too much flesh on display by people who really shouldn't ... Yep. We've had nice sunny weather here for a while now, a little rain but not enough to make me curse it. Another downside - really nice weather makes me want to be lazy and do nothing. But then so does bad weather, so maybe I'm just naturally lazy. Welshy, I'm sure BabyBlue will thank you one day.

I cannot believe little BabyBlue is working now! What a credit she is to you & your wife.
As for the stroppiness etc. it'll pass. The 14-16 years is the hardest of all times for kids & parents. Setting boundaries is very important. This is the stage of life where kids learn that Mummy & Daddy cannot fix everything & actions have consequences that can be very unpleasant & no amount of eye batting will get you out of it.
Good on you Welshy for being so strong & well done BabyBlue!
