J.D. & Helen, yes it isn't good but there is something wrong with this guy & he needs help. It is better that it happened in the jail than in the community where it may have escalated to even more.
I read somewhere about the experience of a woman. Why me? She said she was glad it happened to her & not to someone else who wasn't as strong & who didn't have good support.
Things happen for a reason. My experience & actions are being used for training. That gives me a bit of a laugh. Always I am teaching!
When I am in a deep dark hole I imagine myself picking up specks of gold dust. It works well for me. I try to look for the good in every bad situation, even if there is only a tiny speck.
One good outcome: My mother has decided I have enough on my plate & is going to the doctor's alone. Should be a fairly routine visit but it is good to see her try to do things for herself.

It's OK Barbieq - you are allowed double-posts, typo's, whatever -as you've been going through a lot these past few days. Hoping that today will be better

Ok - great news! Got some of the answers I needed. Still feel so bone weary but my spirits are good. Having some alone time to sort things in my head, conversations with you guys & gals, support from people here have helped me so very much. Thanks to all of you The perp has a court date in about 2 weeks from now & the police are so certain that he will plead guilty so I won't have to go through that, that they haven't even typed up my statement. I was going to have the rest of the week off but the other job needs me at least for 1/2 the day - boss up from Brisbane. No rest for the wicked - I must've been really bad.

That is good news barbieq! And I'm glad to hear you're keeping your spirits up.
Your pressing charges has helped the people he would have hurt, and hopefully he will get the help he needs.
Bad things happen, but they are not necessarily all bad, there can be some good that happens too.

Already? WOW! Doesn't time fly? Went on s spending spree! (lance, don't look!) I bought so many new plants some for a little as $2.50 that I was able to split into in some instances about 5 new ones & they didn't look like new cuttings either. One in articular is an almost white bromeliad with a bit of a green stripe that I got 3 plants from plus a gerbera. Also bought 5 sample tiles from the dump shop & just laid then on the mulch. They're speckledy just like a bird's egg. It has given the garden such a lift. I am a very happy little vegemite now

Barbie, I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm glad you are doing well and didn't get physically harmed seriously. Let's hope the guy is gone away for a long time. Here we are supposed to have a system of rehabilitation, but it's more like they just get a long lesson on being a better criminal. Stay strong !
It's great to hear about your plants. I love bromeliads ! They are so beautiful. I've seen nature programs where they hold water in between the leaves and these tiny little frogs live their entire lives on the plants and lay their eggs in the water that is held in between the leaves. This happens in South American rain forests and the frogs are called poison dart frogs because they produce a mucus that when rubbed on the point of a dart, can be used to paralyze prey and enemies alike.
I was able to get my iced in car out of the ice yesterday. My wife and I had to take the truck into town to have the mechanic do some more work on the brakes. When she backed the car out of the garage, she got it stuck in the ice again. I finally got it out but hurt my shoulder and ribs in the process. Will this winter ever end? We finally have temps above freezing and the ice is melting away. I hope I don't lose my mind before it's all gone.

Possum, I bought a rubber tree (Ruby) & with it came a tiny wee green frog. He's gone now & I only hope he's gone down to the fish pond. Broms are great - I've seen that too!

Rejoice all you want, Goon, but Man United is on top of the EPL. Seriously, though, that's a great win for your club. I remember last year you were moaning about how awful they are, and now what a 180 degree turn! And 4 points behind Man United.

You`ve got a good memory Lance! I`d forgotten. This was a totally different team though. Last season we never had our best players available.
As for the league , 4 points is nothing nowadays. There have been plenty teams who have been unable to hang on - including Arsenal unfortunately. And this season it seems that no team is guaranteed the points. Wolves beating United is proof of that.
Even I think ManU are faves for the title though . I`ll be very surprised if they blow it.

You`ve got a good memory Lance! Photographic memory. I have a tendency to remember the most obscure things than about other things.

Wish I was the same. I`ve got a memory like a sieve. I have trouble remembering things from the day before, let alone the year before!
I have found that writing things down helps - but then I forget where I put the piece of paper! ;D

I was reading through Sargon's gallery at the old Fans, and came across his mini tutorial on the use of Splinter blur. I would like for someone or maybe Sargon himself to make a tutorial based on that. ReferencedMan, reading through the posts has me laughing at how witty we all are. I hope we can keep bringing our humors.

I just wanted to share this with you all. We saw a movie the other night that had the best 3D artwork in it. The title is Planet 51. It's a kids movie, but the 50's style music and references to space movies made it a treat for adults too. I can't tell you how great the artwork was. The cars the people on Planet 51 drove were like a blend of 1950's era cars and flying saucers. Here's a picture of some of them. thatcovergirl.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/juarez_p51_gensketch.jpg
