Congratulations on the awards, you really deserve them. When I saw Ice Kingdom I just couldn't believe how realistic and beautiful this piece of work is ....... truly beautiful! As Oma said, when one sees work like this it makes one really think. Like .......... I'm thinking ...... why do I bother, as there is no way I could ever reach this level. Never mind ...... just being here is OK ;D

Many thanks: BarbieQ', Goon', Sargon, Manic', Chrisco, Oma, Heat', B'Penny, Helen and Pixie
... where to start describing how I made the texture ? I was messing around trying to make another stone texture by following some of the steps described in the Community Stone thing on the main board, with some of my own and for some reason Inverted the colours on a B & W image. A pure fluke ... but I could possibly knock up a tut for this board if anyone would like ?
@ Pixie ... never feel like your work isn't good enough. I think it's great.

A few days away and after looking at Goon's excellent Sculptris work I just had to try it out. What a neat programme.

Awesome! It needs more spikes though! The colors are great and overall great work, as always! BTW: I no longer have the PDN for the wooden ball, I looked everywhere. I am going to try to do it again, but finding time to do anything is getting harder and harder.

You made me yell on DA because that's where I saw it first. I was unsure whether or not it was scary or it was that good. Now that my heartbeat is back to normal, I am saying it's a little bit of both, but I'm leaning more to the side of it being so amazing. Fantastic work, Welshblue. You and Goon both deserve the pats on the back.

I like the smooth red glow. How about adding some fire? I would make the horns longer and try to make him look a bit more evil. He actually looks a bit like Batman! ;D Nice to have inspired you in some way Welshy. You`ll enjoy Sculptris I`m sure.

I would love to see a tut how to make those icebergs . Love your new piece too, the color fits perfect and how you have made half in darker shadow, creates a gloomy feeling...

He actually looks a bit like Batman! ;D Batman was my first thought, and I'm glad you said that Goonie so I know I'm not alone. Definitely needs more evilness. It's nice and smooth, and I like the colour.

Hey AFG ... hope it's not tooo fleeting a glimpse of you mate Many thanks for the feedback on the Goon' inspired piece : Goon', BarbieQ', Ella, Patty, Helen, Leif, Sargon and B'Penny. I sort of scrapped the devilish image until I understand the programme a bit better ... and brush up on my anatomy drawing On Page 1 ... Cursing Goon' ... because every spare minute and some I can't even spare are going into trying to learn Sculptris. ;D This is another collab of Sculptris and PDN. For a free programme I can't praise it enough, and recommend it to anyone. My pc isn't the newest/quickest but it still copes

Lovely head Welshy. A bit like an ancient Egyptian depicted in hieroglyphs. I can see you are soon going to an expert at Sculptris as well. I was browsing a Sculptris forum earlier for a few tips and it seems that it uses similar brushes that you would use in Custom Brushes. As long as they are png files you should be OK.

I completely missed commenting on the Exciled but I like it a lot.
The Shine Head is wonderful work! This is what I wrote on the main board: I can see you combining these 2 programs to create much more complex pieces. I love the shapes you used. Rather than using a "perfection model" you've used a more "lived in" face & I really like that. A lot of character & emotion in it. The colouring works great too.
Lovely works!
