I want to do Helen's tut "How to Make Foliage" at www.pdnfanatics.com/how-to-make-foliage-t405.htmlThe first step is to draw something like in the example offered in the tut. I don't have the fine motor control with the mouse to make any kind of shape this precise. I've used the line tool with some success before, but I was wondering if there's another way.

Use paintbrush, shape tools, and a bit of smudge to shape the foliage.

Just use a very large paintbrush to have better control of the shape of the tree you want to draw.

I just painted in a green area in the corner using the paintbrush , then for the detail switched to the line tool and adjusted the settings so you get a rounded end. Then I just drew it in ,starting off with a wide brush and reducing the size as you go to get finer detail around the outside.
