I know the feeling of noticing mistakes only after posting a pic. LOL I've started making the originals as thumbnails and posting a new and improved version. I think it even helps non members to see our mistakes and learn. One thing I"m learning, is to keep many versions as I go along so that I can go back at any point and rework something. It's a lot easier to fix layers than a flattened image!

Yes, Venice, keep as many versions as you need to & I always keep a PDN file before I save it as a PNG to upload. Learnt that the hard way since all tutes said to flatten.

Thanks leif , have yet to look through all your gallery sooo much there I will get through it soon though ( just finishing building an aviary today ) Have to say your logans run pics are amazing ( I beleive the film is due the remake treatment soon ) I would love to know how you do them is it all just paint.net, have also wondered if people use other devices apart from a mouse to do some of their works. @ venicet and barbie, reorganised my photobucket acc a few days ago over 1000 images all in one folder it was a nightmare (still have to do my desktop not looking forward to that one. I now start a new folders with every piece and make sure I put all corresponding work in it, probably one of the best tips for a new user.

Personally, I think your Pink Floyd sig is your best art work. I think you should keep practicing doing shiny things. When I started cracking on doing glasses, I would be posting attempts after attempts until I finally got the master to say, "There you go." Well, he didn't exactly say it that way, but you get the gist of it.
Two artists to study shiny things would be Helen and PeterPawn. The latter is what inspired me to make some of my latest jewel work.

The beauty of PDN is that it will always be there when you want to unwind. Unlike a can of Stella Artois And there is no time scale to produce stuff. Nice start to your gallery, great sig you've got there. ( Must admit to not being a big fan of theirs but do like some of their stuff) Nice clean work on it Really enjoyed the hammer and sickle piece, the Infamous2 sig ... and really nice work on the dolphin. A pleasure to see you here

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but no matter how long I look at my works as soon as I post them I see something wrong, sometimes it can be as little as a couple of px's missing or in the wrong place and it really gets to me. such as my new sig the "o" and "d" have slightly flat bottoms. Look at it from a different perspective i.e flip the work horizontally or vertically or both, then return it to it's original , it helps the brain see it through fresh eyes, also leave what you consider to be the finished work for a day or two and look at it again The dolphin looks great.

Thanks welsh and AFG I try and take my time with works but I am quite impatient, sometimes I save work and think to myself I will come back to it tomorrow but then without even thinking about it 5 mins later I am back at it.

Oh, that's so pretty! The jewels and golden designs are stunning! I like how the jewels have a marble-like texture. Very nice work indeed. It was certainly a treat to see them!

Thanks guys, all the new ones started from one idea and they kept branching off with different effects. Wish I could replicate the first background again, I can get close but not as good as.

minners, I have the same problem when writing. I start off with something, then get another idea. I start that one, then another pops up, and I go off that way. I've got a ton of short stories with beginnings and endings, but no middles. >< I was looking through the rest of your gallery, and saw the photo minips, and the animal popout one literally popped out. lol You just wonder, who's really eating who?? lol
