Could someone please help with the Insert Hyperlink. When I select it absolutely nothing happens. Shouldn't it bring up a box in which to add the link you want? I am trying to work out how to do this for the plug-ins on a tutorial. Say I want Smudge ....... Should I type Smudge, then highlight it and click on the Insert Hyperlink in order, then, to add the actual link back to it? Hope that makes sense? Many thanks!

When I click on Insert Hyperlink a box comes up saying "What URL do you want to link to?" You type in the URL (or copy/paste) and click OK. Then it says "What text should be clickable" and you type in the text. This is in a new thread or if you modify a post, or use the full Reply. In Quick Reply all I get is the URL tags and it doesn't really tell you what to do with them. I hope this makes sense. I'm sure someone else will explain it better.

Blackpenny is correct. The globe and paper icon is for inserting hyperlink. I usually use the full reply to take advantage of the speed of using this than the manual way. In quick reply, it will give you the tags only. To work them, you can either manually insert the tag between the like so: [url]insert your hyperlink here[/url] To make a certain text clickable, something I usually always do, and using the quick reply editor, do the following: [url=the www address you want to link to]Text to be clickable here[/url] I hope this helped.

Thanks BP and Lance. However, weird or what, I now see that the Hyper link will only work for me in the Quick Reply mode (tags only), which I have never used before. In the Regular Reply, which I'm using now, it is totally 'dead' ..... will not work at all. So, am I going to be able to post a Tutorial with links in the Quick Reply mode? It's a lengthy tutorial?

Three MangasOK - I'm testing this in Quick Reply ....... BUT, it still doesn't sort out why[/b] it's not working in the Main Reply? And, doing this in Quick Reply means I can't use the Preview. EDIT: As you can see ..... something went wrong I did what you said...... i.e. and here I typed out the whole code... Three Mangas2nd Edit: OK - it worked in this Main Reply when I typed out the whole code. But ...... I'm still mystified that the Hyper Link is dead on here. Leif also tested it and it didn't work for him either.

My guess is it is a problem with the Java script and the permissions the browser sets for running Java pop up.

Pixey, just go ahead and post your tutorial. If the links don't work, I'll fix it. I was able to fix your link. I have no idea why it is doing that for you. Try to have your browser's cache cleared.

As you can see, all the other functions are working except the dang Hyperlink which is still as dead as a Dodo No matter, as I don't use it that often and I can always type-in the long way. It's just curious that it works in the Fast Reply but not in the Regular way. I have just downloaded Firefox and am using it for the first time on here, so it's not a browser problem. Interesting! I have a website with Zoomshare.com and often some of their editing stuff goes awry and they have to 'tweak it'. Something to do with mice

I am not having any problem on my end. It seem it might be something to do with your computer.
Your tutorials you posted yesterday worked fine. I am not sure what the problem is.
