Just thought I would start this thread to keep everyone here informed of updates to PDN . PDN4.03 is now available. For a list of the new features see blog.getpaint.net/ To install it you can go to the Settings menu in the program and check for updates or get it from the PDN website - www.getpaint.net/Have fun!

Thanks Goonfella. If you are willing, I can sticky this post, and you can regularly update the 1st post with new release of PDN.

Yeh sure Lance, I don`t mind. Would this include Beta editions or shall I just post when there is a final version?
Also I was wondering , when I do update the first post should I leave the link to the previous version ?
No hang on - you can`t download older versions anyway, only the latest one so that`s not an issue - silly me! ;D

Why not? That way, if folks want to try out the Beta, they could know about it. Of course you can't download the older version... ;D

anyone noticed that where images would stay in the clipboard until you added a new one - once you paste that it is not there for subsequent pastes?

Works fine with me. I tried repasting an image and it was still there. I even closed down PDN, reopened it and was still able to paste the image. You could try Clipboard Master. It`s a free program that expands the capabilities of the Windows clipboard by keeping copied items available to use until you delete them . Here is the link - www.jumpingbytes.com/en/download.html

ok, might post that to the main board...could be a config problem here.
Are you running Win7?

I don't think this is a bug at all. If you have something in the clipboard, it stays there until it's replaced with something else.
If you are not sure - try this: copy and paste an image to PDN, and then try to do the same in Word. I'm sure you'll find that it's common.

Lance, I tried it again & it works perfectly now like it should. Probably an error between the chair & the keyboard. I like the ID ten T thought too. ;D

Hubby says my computer problems are because of a loose nut in the computer chair.

I did not think this question merited a new thread, but I cannot get to Paint.NET's forum. I tried my bookmark as well as a direct search, but no link will connect. I keep getting 302 Found, plus The document has moved here. However, clicking on here brings up a small window saying the URL is not valid. I'm using my sister's laptop while I stay with my ill mother, so I don't know if there is a problem with Paint.NET, or with the security of this computer. Anyone else having this issue?

The forum seams to be down. But the main site is running OK. I think they are hosted on two different servers, so it is probably an issue with the server the forum is hosted on.

Thanks, Goon. I have not really spent time playing with the 4.0 version, but it does appear to be faster than its predecessor.
I have also decided to strip out plug-ins I never use and keep it to a minimum of what I really use. Hopefully, the next release after an upcoming one due to a bug will include a plug-in manager so I won't have to close and start PDN again. That's where GIMP is really handy as they can refresh their script-fu and plug-in library without having to close/re-start PDN. Firefox does this too.
