Well, I have started with Sculptris because I saw such nice work of Welsh here on the forum. I must say, Faces/heads are soooo hard to do... I gave it a rest after the fourth try (in 2 days) and I gave my imagination a shot... looks like I have started to create a bird looking dinosaur dino 3d wip 1 by Aislin Thespian, on Flickr Edit: I was going through some old pictures of mine and found some of my real paintings I made a loooooong time ago wasn't sure to post it here, but hey, it's a gallery and beyond PDN it just not done on a computer! Also found an image I had done with my tablet in adobe photoshop

And you've done it so very well. Wow. Much better than I've ever managed
Help ? Let your talent and imagination take over the insecurities ...

hahaha thanks Welsh and helen, but I it took me long enough to create what I have now (uhm 4 hours I think) If I really knew the program, it wouldn't have taken me that long I guess I have many many questions about the program, maybe I could ask you sometime Welsh?

Even though Sculptris is fairly intuitive, I wouldn't knock yourself for the time taken.
Darn impressive starting run at it. Helps that you have a good hand for sure.
I've tried it a few times (about a dozen) but so far I've not had much imagination with it. And an equal amount of crashes with the work just simply lost in my experimenting ... Sort of hard to even think of firing it up as a distraction if it becomes literally work for me.
With your artistic eye, etc simply cant wait to see what you come up with. Especially if you have any stocks you want to use. One neat thing I did test was using some of my images as bump-maps/coloring. Always a PDN tie-in to be found it seems. ;D

Great work Ais (pronounced Ace? Not sure but it seems appropriate! ;D ) Looks like a Pterodactyl in the making. I had Sculptris for a while but it kept crashing on me so I jacked it in. I have similar capabilities available in Blender now anyway, although I`ve yet to fully explore them.

Sculptris is a great, but I have same problem as Goonfella and Delpart, it will keep crashing when you take a step up.

That looks really cool!
I tried Sculptris too, but dumped it for the same reasons mentioned above. It was fun to play with, even though all I made were elaborate blobs.

**Disclaimer: Just humor and my way of talking. Please dont read into it as a criticism of any sort. Insert lots of smileys and think of someone with a really big smile the whole time. Great it went from: Ah-sl-ine to Iceland now in my head. Not sure my phonetics there are a match. Like when reading a book I swear its sometimes better not to know and just let your imagination fill in the blanks. My first impression was similar to Aslan from CS Lewis' novels. A strong impression. Though I have to admit Iceland is also very impressive. At least its not Bjork. (missing all the right characters as I'm too lazy to do her name right) See, instantly thought of that thanks to Iceland ... ;D

lol, funny how imagination works Although I must say that Iceland has nothing to do with it, nor does Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia if you search up the meaning of the name, you'll found that the meaning suits my real personality, that is why I chose that name But of course, feel free to use your own imagination!!
