amazing that wheel! incredible how you combined those tuts! Thanks aislin at first I just used to follow a tut to the word, but then part way through creating something I remember another tut that can act as a springboard to advance/enhance the object I am working on, most of it is pure luck that pays off sometimes.

PDN Logo work is inspiring. That's actually hard to work with as people really expect way too much from text effects these days. Both personally and from the influences of the media. Text effects sometimes still confuse me, but pyro's trail plugin has helped a lot. I still heed to work on getting a really glossy finish though

Did I not comment here before? Probably in my head ...
Everything is so good. I really like the image in panels, and the torus wheel is so cool.

Apologies for not commenting yet. How did I miss all this good stuff? I like the funky wheel. Nice combo of tuts. Plenty of excellent work NN. Keep it up

It seems like you've been busy working on PDN images. The latest PDN logo (the bluish one) is so good. It's easy on the eyes (wow, I sound like I'm ancient, but you know what I mean). The work below it is variated and lovely. I also like the little animation you did. And I noticed that on the spacescape you added a little texture to the sun. That's very awesome!

I like the sun. I'm always torn on space scenes. Actual pics in space are rather boring/flat, etc. Once we take our hand to them, it adds depth and imagination.
I'm not doing them because I simply dont have the skills to match the tens of thousands of digital renderings floating around in my head. Maybe sad commentary, but every little start (like the example I never finished for you/jim) is because I simply cant render what I want to show with PDN (yet.) ...
Keep pluggin and sharing. I think I've covered the new work. If I missed something I'll catch in another pass ... ;D

Thanks Helen I enjoy working on logo's, mainly because half of the work is done (the name of the product ;D ) The texture on the sun was a photograph of the water in a swimming pool. I pasted it into a new layer and played around with the blend mode until it looked ok, I don't even know if the sun has a texture or surface, but it looked more realistic than just a plain old yellow blob ;D On the animation I was going to go from A-Z but with changing colours too, but decided to keep it simple Thanks delpart, I'm not really keen on doing spacescapes, the light and distance always throws me. I got inspired by seeing others and just though I would remix it a little I would like to do a planet with rings sometime soon, but for now I am just looking at how to merge a spacescape into a filmstrip kind of thing only inverted and without the frame (if that makes sense ;D )

I've looked at your new ones before & thought I had commented.
I love watching the little animation...it's jazzy. Lovely work with the logo & sig too. Spacescapes are not easy to do but looks like you are on the right track.

Wow! Your work is really impressive and I love how diverse it is. Everything is so crisp and clear and not a jaggy in sight. Great work and fun to look at too. Well done

I like the animation too. And the spacescapes - I'm not keen on doing them, but I like looking at them.

I always found doing any of the tutes would send me off on a tangent whilst learning new things at the same time... ;D
