Yep, we've had it pretty bad for a while but things are getting better by the day. Cleanup is well under way but there are still some things the shops are short of. It will continue to improve.
2 new images - both wallpapers. Thanks to Patty for the Droste plugin!

Glad to hear you are recovering from the floods - no doubt it will take quite some time. Hex is lovely and reminds me of something Elizabethian, I don't know why, but could be a pattern on a dress out of those times. Spring Flower is super and I love the colours of the stones. Your gold work is perfect, as always. BTW, the link to Spring Flower takes one to your PB page with all the urls. You may need to take out a few characters in the link somewhere.

My fave is Spring Flower as well. I love the texture on the the petals and the lengths of gold string is amazing. Must have taken a while to do all them. The first thing I thought of when I saw Hex was an octopus! I wonder why? Pixey is right about the Spring Flowers thumb. I think you`ve forgotten to remove the `action=view¤t ' from the code.

Link fixed. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks Pixey. It does a bit doesn't it? BR, yep that it does.
Goonie, the lengths of gold are Splatter brushes & then golded as usual. Quite easy really.
Welshy, I thought the Hex one would appeal to you more.
Thanks for the lovely comments guys.

Spring Flower is nicely done but the Hex WP captures the imagination, it has a tribal feel to it, i just wish i could remember which culture, I'm thinking Inca or Aztec but I'm not convinced its them, I'm sure the red they use comes from ochre (not the Greeks either), have to think a bit more

Hex reminds me of an ammonite, probably because my husband collects fossils and I've seen a lot of ammonites. I like the spiral shapes, and the colour. It's great how everyone sees different things in it.
Spring Flower - I like the pattern in the background and back petals, and the gold wiry bands. Beautiful!

j.d. I am more than happy to do that. It was hard to find but Patty managed it & I am grateful for her persistence. We get told often to use "Search" but it never works too well for me. This is what Patty sent to me on dA: The Droste plug in download at PDN here's the link but you need to scroll down to get the zip , there's two sets of it another a bit lower down the scroll not sure which is the right one ? forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/7122-escher-droste-plugin/Now, I am not sure which one I got. Try them & see what happens or perhaps someone can help out like our resident computer gurus? Heatstroke, thank you! Blackpenny, I agree. Everyone sees something different which is wonderful. AFG, that is interesting. I'm not sure either. On dA someone said it was like a fractal.

Funny you call it Spring Flower. I just CANT get the thought out of my head that it looks like something from a dark SciFi movie. But still great work.
