That looks cool - I know what I'll be doing today!
I like lots of images in any tutorial, beginner or otherwise. I understand so much better if I'm shown what to do step by step. Even for things that seem obvious, because what's obvious to one person, may not be to someone else.

I love images, too. It seems like a lovely tutorial. Will be using it for my illustrations.

I managed to do a couple of flowers in between coughing fits. The first one is "by the book", with the flower duplicated and reduced. For this one, I filled the 'roses' shape with Shaped Gradient and added noise. Thanks for the great tutorial!

Good results, I really like them both . I have many texture tryouts just standing around so I always try to make something out of them. That´s how I got this idea too, to turn the fabric piece into flower. I really liked how the shading in fabric saved me later the trouble of adding shading to the flower .

Thanks Ella. I had to do the fabric anyway, so it wasn't any more effort to do the shading. I could probably find something in my archives that will work too, but it was more fun doing something new.

After selecting the parts of the flower with the magic wand, I inverted before deleting in the texture layer. Although the tute doesn't say to do this, it worked for me. Here's one of mine. Thanks for this tutorial.

Thanks for a great tutorial. My try wasn't any spectacular result so I won't bother posting. But I'm sure I'll be using this again soon.
