How beautiful is Whispers ........ so delicate and light. I'm scratching my head now trying to fathom out how you did this. It looks like strings of wheat, made of glass, swaying in the breeze. Beautiful. I also am liking Fragile Soul and the colour is my fave - pinky pearl. And, the drawing of your grandaughter is a very good likeness. I am so envious of the gift of being able to draw/paint on paper. You are very gifted and I salute you .

I'm still around. Not too active lately, but I need to do an art piece. (recommended by the grief and bereavement group leader). I need to start taking charge of how my life moves on from here. This is the quote I was given to translate.
Each day comes bearing its own gifts. untie the ribbons. by Ruth Ann Schabacker.......
Its been so long since I've done a paint.net piece I'm stuck for inspiration on where to start this abstract.
HELP! any ideas to get me motivated
ciao OMA

Hey Oma. Good to hear from you again. Best way for me to get inspiration is always to look at other peoples work. And sometimes the trick is to look at something i normally don't look at. Sometimes it is just getting a bit outside, and look at people or nature. But normally my problem is i have way to many ideas for my talent to handle. ;D

Oma, glad to hear from you again! *hugs* I suggest you do another portrait (I love them so!). If not, I challenge you to draw some type of a reptile/amphibian in a pond--something to do with aquatic life.

Hi Oma, it is so good to hear from you again. Welshy asked me only a day or so ago If I'd heard from you.
I'd have to agree with Leif on the inspiration & that includes looking back through your gallery too.
I love the quote & thanks so much for sharing the little gem...let's see, gems, ribbons, unwrapping...abstract thoughts...

Oma! It`s lovely to hear from you again. I agree with Barbie. Why not take inspiration from that lovely quote and create an image for it? I`m sure it will be wonderful.

Hi Oma, it's good to see you posting again On the subject of inspiration, I would suggest you do what you have often done so well before.... think of the colors and shapes of your emotions, then transfer them on to the canvas.

Ciao Oma - I was only thinking of you yesterday - golly, I must have ESP - and was hoping that you might post on here soon As for inspiration - well, the others on here have some great ideas As I'm an incorrigible animal lover, I can only suggest: one of these .............. or, perhaps one of these: Look forward to your end result. Welcome back

Ciao Oma - I was only thinking of you yesterday - Ain't life uncanny. What a great quote. But if only it was that easy to embrace it ? I think you should follow where your (he)art takes you. Great suggestions from BarbieQ' and AFG. You should work on as big a canvas as your PC will let you and let your feelings flow. xx

Oma, I love all of your work. So envious of your talent! Whispers is so beautiful. I can't even begin to figure out how you got that effect.
I also love the elephant one. I'm stuck on metal effects and shiny things this week LOL Maybe one day I'll be half as good as you are now......
Fragile Soul is beautiful as well. I love the color and shades of pink.
Keep up the awesome work.
btw, your granddaughter is stunningly beautiful.
