It's been very interesting reading through this page. I prefer wall-papering to painting. Painting bores the pants off me Love the latest version with the bricks. Great texture and mortar ... that bloke on the right sort of reminds me of A Clockwork Orange RIP Neil Young

Thanks Barbie,TBH=to be honest. Not sure what to do next, might do full house. Can do bricks and window's,sorted out last night how to do slate and ridge tiles for the roof. Just gotta learn how to do grass and foliage now.lol Oh and gonna do your latest tute too. Cheers Heat Stroke and goonie, just discovered the brick plugin yesterday on the main board. Don't think the tute link is working but the link to plugin is. Cheers Welshy,I just think papering is too slow, especially when you're working on price. Glad you like the brickwork, took me a while to get it right. "Clockwork Orange" great film, went to see it when it first came out. Bloke is from painting by "Magritte" called "Son Of Man" hence the pun. Thanks for the Neil Young mention.

Bit confused - you used the panels idea for the extra window? Now that is thinking outside the box!

No,sorry Barbie.lol I did a pic but pulled it,had a better idea to tweak it. Will post it later. Sorry BP,didn't mean to scare you about Neil Young. Was talking about ex-footballer not singer. Big fan of that Neil Young too,"Harvest" classic. Ok Barbie, finished it.

LOL It really puzzled me that I hadn't heard anything in the news, so I Googled. Should have known he had something to do with football. Seems to be a popular name. I knew a guy with the same name in college, too. Great work on Rushmore. Wow!

Nice job on Rushmore, there's quite a trippy 3D effect you've got going on You have some great ideas.

Well that was worth the wait!
I love what you've done to this one. Great use of the tute. It is always so good when people take the idea & run with it. That is another thing that is so great about being here - the combined knowledge & inspiration.
The offset 3D panels are gorgeous & the water reflection a great touch. Well done!

Yeah BP,I'm a bit obsessed with football, glad you like the pic. "Heart Of Gold" one of my favourite songs. Cheers Welshy, hope the ideas keep coming. Thanks Barbie, and thanks for the idea in the first place. I'm not entirely happy with it so gonna tweak it a bit. Luckily, when I finished the panels,I remembered your advice about "Saving often" so shouldn't take long. I enjoyed making it but would've hated to have to start again. Will just swap pics later. Thanks Chrisco, appreciate it.

He, he. That Rushmore is really inventive. Kind of abstract and a bit surrealistic. I don't know if i wanted it hanging on my wall, ;D but it gets a loot of points for imagination and great use of PDN.

That's certainly a very interesting viewing of Rushmore Your windows are looking great. BTW - the second one takes ages to load and might be better downsized a bit. Keep up the great work I've yet to do the panel tute ....... it really looks like fun!

Thanks Helen and Pixey, glad you like it. I didn't realise that window was slow at loading,it's fine on mine. I suppose we've all got a different broadband set-up. I was gonna delete that one anyway, but I think I'll resize and keep it.cheers.

Been going through a barren phase lately, can't seem to come up with anything new. I am working on doing a pic of a house but I keep changing it to try and make it to scale. Sometimes wish I didn't have experience in the building trade, probably would've finished it by now.

Ah yes scale - related to perspective & highlights/shadows.
It can be a right pain. This is where having the internet comes in handy so you can look for reference images.

Yeah Barbie,I made my mind up to do a bay window, which causes all sorts of problems with angles for the bricks too.Thought I had it finished till yesterday, when I went for a walk, and looking at various bay windows I realised I got all the angles wrong.Oh well, back to the drawing board. I've done another abstract with a jewel, while I have a rest from bay windows.
