Thanks a lot Gooney I sent the eye result to the artist, on Y-tube, whose tutorial I followed and she put my result up on her page, 1/2 way down, (nanettealsop) which I thought was very kind. She's obviously a very gifted person. I hope she'll try doing something in Paint.Net sometime. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQJs-Vlv4dw&feature=related

The Mandelbrot work is nice. Looks psychedelic.

I think you've completely transformed the fractal. It's colorful and shiny. Love the water reflection, too.

I really like the second one. Very sparkly and as B'Penny says ... psychadelic. I've never really played with the Mandlebrot plug-in but you've just inspired me to have a dabble

Thank you so much @barbieq, heat stroke and @welshy! It was a one-off attempt using mandlebrot, in which I tried to incorporate Ella's glass text tute, then fiddled with gradients and voilà - colours appeared. There are SO many ways to skin a cat it seems. (Where did that saying come from? It's cruel)

I don't know where it came from either but the rest of the saying doesn't make sense either. I know I say it fairly often. Not that I want any cat or any animal harmed.

oh those Mandlebrot are pretty. I really like the one with the water reflections.
I'm still in awe over that eye. You have done a great job on it.
ciao OMA

Oooops - double post I've added a little something to page one, to all my buddies on here for Valentine's Day. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Don't eat too many chocolates. Just wanted to say, also, that I'll be missing from the forum for three weeks, as I'm off to the USA tomorrow (where I'm still a resident) and I didn't want you to think that I'd skedaddled ;D I'll catch up with all of your work upon my return
