;D ;D Remy brings an instant smile, he has such a mischievous look to him, I'm expecting to see the cat or dog wander by painted purple ;D Two suggestions I would make would be to define the arm/claw resting on the hip more by having an area with no fur showing the gap between arm and body (the angle of his body suggest that gap would be there) and to reduce the size of the shadows in between the fingers and fade them slightly, as always these are just my thoughts. It's a wonderful feel good work

Golly guys & one doll Leif, Sargon, Dug, Helen, Welshy, Gooney and AFG, thanks so much for your comments which are greatly appreciated Yes, I totally agree AFG about those points on the 'resting hand' and the shadow between the fingers. By the end of a piece like this, because most of it is manually drawn, I find that I still don't have quite the "eye" for the tweaking that should be done. And that's what is so great about this forum and the help that is offered. Thanks so much everyone

Often when working on an image because you are so close to it and so intense on what is being done the brain goes into it's own art world, we can see a section there that is actually missing, a way I use to overcome that is when I finish working on an area I turn the whole work upside down and leave it till the next day, then when I open it up again look at it upside down first then turn it back the right way, it often let's me see missing, wrong or areas not quite right

Remy is wonderful! So cute and very well done!
Welshy, maybe that's a career option for you - voice actor in cartoons. That would be a fun job.

In fact, watching the movie helped me understand what my son does (he's an executive sous chef, by the way), and loved the movie. Second, I think that would be a frightening thought. Maybe with Welshy's accent, he might scare children from watching Disney movie again. ;D Heh.

I agree with everyone about Remy. I like the name too. He would make a fabulous PDN Mascot. Well done Pixey!

Ha, ha Gooney - taking the Mickey out of Rarebit Thanks SO much AFG, BP, Lance, BBQ and Heatstroke for your lovely comments, which are much appreciated Just so you don't think I've stopped making 'stuff' ..... here is my very 1st WIP. Eeeek - now I'm committed This is being done from a tutorial (which I had to buy ) and is a collaboration of self and PDN. Herewith the first part, my sketch of a woman:

Ohh. It is going to be very interesting to follow this WIP. The start looks promising. It has always been my opinion that the best is those people who booth know how to draw on paper and know how to transferee it to a computer. The lines on the body and face is good. But if i am going to give a word of warning; it is be careful not to make the hair to complicated in the first attempt.

I agree with Leif. The lines are a good foundation. I'll be looking forward to seeing it progress.

Thanks so much guys for your encouragement ..... which I really appreciate as this has been a scary project Here is the 2nd stage, my sketch was scanned into PDN and then brushes were used to colour in grey scale: After which it was printed out and then coloured by myself with black and white water colours: After this it will be back into PDN and I've got about two more stages to go

Pixey, that's really, really good. Will it be a colored version as the final piece or will you keep it black and white?

Shading is really well done! I would never have thought about doing it the way you are doing it. Very creative.

Wow. Love the latest version. It already looks great in B & W so very interested in how you add colour. For some reason I'm picturing a red leather jacket Maybe 'cos she reminds me of Chas Dingle from Emmerdale ? (Not that I sit down and watch any soaps )
