Goon, the 'House of Screams' is incredible! I really wish PDN would work for you on the main forum.

Just had another go at using the forum and it seems to be up and running again so normal service can be resumed.

Just posted my first image of the year. Havn`t done a spacescape for a while so I did this one. I wanted to try to make a similar image to the kind you get from Hubble with just a nebula but when I added the planets I thought they looked OK so left them there. Enjoy.

Thanks Barbie. The lens flare is from Gimp as I think it is much nicer. I just saved it as a PNG file to use in other images. I just just one cloud image to enhance the nebula a bit, the rest is PDN.

Thank you for not scarring me this time. Great composition. The big "planet" looks like it is the moon of the ringed planet. Very realistic. And i really like the background. Not so colorful it dominates the picture; but it still makes the entire picture look interesting.

I suppose you could consider the larger planet to be a moon, although it wasn`t intended to be. `Realistic' is always a nice word to see in a reply. BP , I suppose you could call it a Peace of Space.

Nothing wrong with re-using or using another program to get the look

Here is a sig I created using Red Ochre`s Seascape tut for the SOTW comp on the other forum. All PDN. Instead of a rough sea I thought I would try for something different so I went for an ice sheet with my name stuck in the ice.

Glad everyone liked it . Thanks for commenting. Wish I could replicate the ice effect consistantly though. I was asked about a tut but I just can't get the same result. Its a shame you can't keep your history as well when saving the PDN file. You would get a much better idea of how to replicate an effect.

Yeah, that happens to me all the time. And if I do have the presence of mind to take notes, I don't understand them later. For a couple of things I've taken screen shots, but that is time consuming.
