What is the Bookmark option? That is below the Message in the Post reply window, I just don't get it, and don't how to use it.
EDIT: and don't know how to use it.

Try to click the Bookmark option on the top of the topic thread, not the board itself, and it will show up in your profile "Bookmarks." I'm not sure why they don't allow the option of "watch topic" and let it let you know there's an update. I'll look into it.

Are you going to be able to transfer the domain name over?

Unfortunately, no. There's a way to get a domain name here, but I think it require a bit of money. Welshy could probably answer that better.

If Lance is agreeable, maybe we could have our 1st comp to choose a new icon made in PDN Yeah, I'm agreeable about it. What I'm planning is at least 3 comps, a new banner for the forum, icon for the dA link, and possibly a new set of smilies for the forums. I am not fond of the current set, but if everyone is fine with the set, I won't bring it up. I'd like to see an envious smiley & a heart one. Otherwise they are not too bad. Like the idea of a couple of comps here too.

It's been a couple of years since I've used Pro-Boards ... a quick look found this pdnfans.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=aboutadfreeOn the smiley front ... I'm a simple sort of guy and for some reason really like the basic ones here Good luck editting the code Lance if you add the smilies. It's a long tedious job if you've got a lot to upload .. unless you've found a different hack to me

There actually a hack for adding more smilies, but it involves hosting them off-site, like Photobucket, and I'm not comfy with that idea as PB is an open community. But, I do recall a way to prevent users from seeing certain PB account...

I don't know if it's been asked already, but could you add some more BBcodes? Specifically, [hide] and [thumbpop] would be particularly useful.
Have a nice day, ~Sidneys1

The hide code isn't found anywhere on the support board. I saw some hack that included hide code, but it doesn't have anything to do with what we wanted. As for thumbpop, my suggestion is to use the thumbnail code generated by Photobucket or Imageshack, there's a guide in the tutorial zone for that. Edit: I was wrong...there is a "Hide" option feature. I tested it out, and it is C-R-A-P. Here's the info.

I was going to ask if we can have a comp for a new banner, but I guess that's already in discussion. I'm so excited to see this board running!

Is it possible to make the Last Post supported by Open Link in a New Tab feature? So we can just click by scroll wheel to open link it in a new tab, BTW even open link in a new window is not supported. I am not sure if this function is available in the proboards for last post links.

Sorry, but I'm having trouble with the page being too large on my screen. I have to use the scroll to read everything Would appreciate help in making it smaller. Thanks!

That`s strange because on mine it`s the opposite - it doesn`t take up all of the screen. There are large spaces either side of the text. Maybe its your screen resolution? I know on this laptop I am using a higher resolution as default than the previous one (1920x1080 as opposed to 800x600 before). It means I can work on a larger canvas in PDN without scrolling. All the text does appear smaller though but not uncomfortably so . I think this is why I may have room to spare and you don`t have enough. Try right clicking on the desktop and select `screen resolution' from the menu that appears. It`ll take you to the page where you can adjust it if you want to.

Hi Gooney - many thanks for this tip. I have now changed the resolution from 1024 x 768 to 1152 x 864 and can just about read everything without having to scroll...... but it's still a bit off. Unfortunately this adjustment has totally changed everything else I view on my computer which is, I have to admit, very annoying indeed. Is it because I have Windows XP? Has anyone else had this problem with XP ? Grrrrrrrrrrr! I hate having to change ....... but...... you lot are so addictive that I may just have to swallow this annoyance and get used to it

When you change resolution is does affect everything . Generally the higher the resolution the smaller the text. But you can fit more on the screen this way . This will happen on any PC with any OS not just XP .

Concerning the problem with the forum and the amount (or lack of) screen space I just went to a Sculptris forum also hosted by ProBoards and it rendered perfectly , covering the screen as it should . I`ve posted a couple of thumbs to show the difference . This is the link if you want to see how it looks on your computer - drpetter.proboards.com/index.cgi Our forum. Sculptris forum. How come that one seems fine yet Fans is having problems ? Mine, as you can see, is too small, and Pixey says hers is too big! But obviously it is possible to get it looking right without playing around with the resolution. Any ideas? Maybe it`s worth getting on to Pro Boards to see if they can help. Unless , of course, this is the way Fans is supposed to look like ?

Is that better ?

Post by Goonfella on Jan 18, 2011 22:58:21 GMT
Yes it is better. Thanks for adjusting it Lil H. But it`s still not the same as the Sculptris one. Is there a reason for this? Don`t worry if its not possible to change it but it would be nice if this forum could take advantage of ALL the screen space available.

Better for Goonfella, worse for the rest of us who have the opposite problem.
