Thanks Sarkut and Lance, that is so helpful, especially on my tiny screen. I wish if you can find a way to make the last post supports the Open in a new tab or New windows features.

Is it just me or is this forum slowing down? I am finding that it takes longer for a post to appear and when it does not all the page has loaded and it takes ages to finish . I`ve checked my connection and it`s not that so it must be a problem here.

Sometime that happens to me. What I do is stop the page, and reload it. It appear in a snap. The new banners also had slowed it down a bit too. Not too bad though.

Yep, it can be a bit slow at times.
What I am not happy about is that when I've posted a reply, & the page reloads, I have to scroll down to see my post.
Any ideas?

Most browsers, keyboard shortcut End moves you immediately to the bottom of the page. Home takes you to the top of the page.

What I am not happy about is that when I've posted a reply, & the page reloads, I have to scroll down to see my post. Any ideas? barbieq, After, I make a reply, I'm returned to a view of my reply, not the top of the page. Curious as to why the different result. Maybe different browsers? What do other forum members experience when posting a reply?
I wish if you can find a way to make the last post supports the Open in a new tab or New windows features. Using Firefox, linking from the Last Posts column of the Home page using middle mouse button or Ctrl + Shift + Left-click will open the last page in a new tab. However, it opens the page at the top rather than at the last post. Is this what you experience, or are you referring to something different?

Using Google Chrome & it reloads to somewhere close to where I was.
I do use the keyboard shortcuts but the keys are on the same side as the mouse...
On the main forum & the old one, I could go back to the tab that I last had to ensure the post had in fact gone up. With this one I need to go to the post which slows me down.

DP: this time it went to the last post no problem at all. Not sure if it related to how many posts are on the page already? EDIT: after this one it took me back to my very first post on this page.

Poltergeists.
You could re-map your Caps Lock key to function as an End key.

There is a hack already in place to take you to the very last post of your message, the one that you submitted, and I'm not sure what's causing this kind of behavior. Did this behavior started after I added the random banners?

@ Sarkut, thanks, yes and no I actually bookmarked the new Topics, not Home page. So that doesn't work on the last post. The whole cell of the table is behaving like a hyperlink, not just the text But the funny thing is the user name " just below the Last Post in same cell" is working well and you can open it as a new tab. For more details:

So far, the response I've received is that the options for new tab/window aren't there because it isn't a link.
It's a clickable table.
Not optimistic on a fix.

Dug, it looks like there are two unneeded spaces in the URL. you must have put two spaces in the area you type your username. Take those out and it works.
All you need to write in the space is your username. No spaces.
TheRawAtom
Hope this helps.

Heat Stroke,I've done what you suggested no joy.I checked the code in the main forum and my name was all small case letters so I tried changing it to that, No joy. Is this straight to D.A. or via the main forum? In the main forum the code has inverted comas, should I delete them?

Dug, I fixed it for you. You had an extra blank space, and once I deleted it, the problem disappeared.
