Outside of time, at least with this medium you can explore being all over the place for cheap. I kept drawing this connection when comparing the costs of traditional artwork and photography in the digital medium. Plus I rather enjoyed the diversity. Makes me certainly feel less sheepish about getting lost every time I try to make a simple aspect and lose 4 hours. You could almost come up with a trifecta blend from that set if you turned the holly into stained glass. Speaking of which that link is broken at this moment. Tries to go to a %3Cbr gallery which doesn't exist. Here's a fast code snippet to see the real one and a click-able below:

Lovely new additions - so colourful and intricate. I love the multi-star and the glossy ball is ............. so glossy ;D I really need to get back to doing some myself, but am stuck in a "portrait mood" at the moment - so much to do, so little time Ohhh .... and the holly is super too

I agree that our newest works are very colorful. I really like the mandalas. I can see why they're fun to color in. VERY pretty images! The hollies are adorable. They'd look great with a candle.

delpart, the link was broken the first time I tried it and then I refreshed the page and it was okay. I think it's photobucket being contrary I have never heard of trifecta blend, and when I searched for it, there was no definition that made sense. So I'm not sure what you meant by that LOL I get lost in this program all of the time. I never know where I'm heading next when I open the program. It's rather fun Pixie, thanks. I am the same way, I have things I want to accomplish with PDN, but get stuck on other stuff. Thankfully there are no time constraints when you are doing this for fun and relaxation Helen. THanks. I"m not sure where I'm heading with the holly. I'm sure I'll find some use for it. I'll keep the candle idea in mind I'm probably going to do it over anyway.

Sorry for the double post..... Barbie, you beat me to the comment section LOL Thanks for the compliments. The madalas are a combination of different plug ins and using different fonts and mirroring a lot of the items. I used frame for black edge, centered squares for the lines, the letter "S" from a font on my puter *not sure which one* , a heart that I made myself into a brush type thing, the letter x in the boxes, the letter "O" with circular text, and the roses plugin. LOL I have a book of mandalas and was intrigued enough to try and make my own. They are used for meditation and self discovery as you color them in

I have no clue why I didn't just say a winning combination ... I was seeing three items near each other as a sort of triptych. So I guess my head opted in to think of the betting term to combine three bets to make a winning combination of ideas.
Its represented in the merry x-mas as stained glass, but it seemed like it could be almost a stand alone like the celtic star and be really pretty.
I guess I saw the combination of the orb technique used to make the 3 ball represented in the holly, and then the stained glass framing it on the one side. Then with the celtic cross being a stand alone right next to it, I saw the holly piece being turned into a stand alone stained glass.
Its funny how other art near a piece will influence what people see. Gotta love how the brain ops to perceive and jumble things around for us sometimes.
I hope that makes sense. Having a rather busy pre-holiday and definitely in hindsight can see this being probably the worse obscure reference I could have made. ;D Now we need a blushing smiley so I can represent my embarrassment properly.
*** edit, now that I re-read this, I'm not sure even this makes sense. But I'm going to run with it.

Thanks for understanding. I really want to provide some sort of feedback on what my impression is, or what actually appealed to me. Or in this case what a strange little hallucination it caused.
I may be trying a little too hard to share my thoughts or share too many of them ... I tend to have a similar problem in the real world as it were.

LOL no problem at all delpart. I was the same way when I first joined. I was writing novels every time I posted. The more you write, the better we get to know you and feel a connection, so it's all good

Wow - great new work Venice! Nice bright colours.
The mandalas look like fun. The symmetry reminds me in a way of drawing Celtic patterns - with pencil and paper, not the computer. I found that relaxing too.

What a great variations of styles. Nice job on the holly ... have you tried a bit of Bulge on the leaves ? At different settings it'll give variation to the leaves.
Love the mandalas, very intricate. Nice pool ball ... the #3 should get darker towards the bottom ?
Tips aside, lovely work Venice'
