We had been wondering where Possum has been with the comps esp.
I just got a message from his wife to say he has been in hospital with pneumonia. I think this is the second time in a couple of years.
Poor Possum. I told his wife to give him all our love & that he is ordered to rest up & forget anything else but his health & to know that we are thinking of him.
That is all the info that I have at the moment. I hope she stays in touch & lets us know how he is progressing.

Well that's not good to hear at all. I figured something had to be up, or my submission was so bad I killed his computer. ;D
If and when you communicate again, please note that we all wish him well. In the literally sense. I'm wishing him well right now. (Huh, that was funnier in my head ...)
Great title too. Very fitting for the person intended. (I'm still chuckling about Snow Possums.)

Hey possum, please get better soon , I used to hate possums long time ago, but now I start love them because of you, lol. There is one here, it comes almost every night by my window and start cracking dry food ( fruits) from trees, and it is white, is that what you called it Snow Possum?

@sargon III - now that I think about it I have seen some rather light colored possums around here that would match your description.
In this case I was quoting his rules for the WOTW #39:
Quote from the competition: "Theme is " # 39 Style-Typography, Theme-Winter Season" The Theme Idea: You are to make a wallpaper of an image using Typography as the style and the Winter Seasons the theme. You can choose anything about the Winter Season to illustrate. From snow to the Winter Holidays to Season's Greetings to ice skating to polar bears (also known as snow possums). It can be winter sports, winter weather, winter animals, winter holidays, winter winter winter.....whew, I think I almost lost it there for a minute." That single quip in bold really made me smile. The "backwoods" American idioms of this sort are fun diversions. Some people cannot appreciate the idea but it has to do with embracing language from the standpoint of "use equals definition." In some cases these idioms have actually become the norm and not just regionalized things.
Sort of like using Google as a verb ... and voila ... its now in the dictionary. ;D
And yes, I know the Southern Redneck version of English will never prevail in having polar bears commonly known as snow possums. But I like the whimsy of imagining the Wikipedia entry changes on it.
Heck, for April 1st, that would almost make a wonderful fake entry ... gives me an idea.

Haha, delpart, I know possum was joking, I saw that comp. in the main board, he always describe possums in such a funny ways, if you go back in the archive of competitions possum term is always included there which I like it. White possum=polar bear, both work for winter theme
