Before I spend time making custom skins, I thought I'd better check to see what you the populace would like to see/ have the option of.
Me personally, I always use the default ... like we've got.
Any colours/ colours and textures you the individuals would like to have, let me know ... then I can make them for you.
*** Ignore the colour of the banner, that's just a stop gap until a competition is run to democratically choose a new banner for our new home

A white background is just too stark for me. It hurts my eyes after awhile. A nice soft blue would be nice, but I do like the black backgrounds or at least a darker color. I really like shiny 3D looking separator bars too. Shiny is good

I find the white background hard on my eyes too. I was using Extreme Blue at the old forum and liked it. The red and black was good too.

I too like a dark background, black is ok for me. When I feel that I going to spend long time reading form a website or searching forums, I change the browser colors to what I like, I actually have a ready colors for FireFox, I just check or uncheck the box of "Allow pages to choose...." it is quite easy to do that. I liked using the GlossyIIRed option in the previous forum. It was not so dark as the black/red one and looked really smart.

Sargon, is that a Firefox add-on? Leif, it's not that I'm not satisfied, but I can have more fun if my eyes don't hurt.

blackpenny, no, it's in the Tools>Options menu. Click on Content tab and the Colors option is there.

It's been a couple of years since I was actively making skins for some other forums.
So please bear with me while i find my way around.
If you go to your profiles and select Modify >>> scroll down until you see an option to choose a skin, there's a new one in there called Red. Feedback on this would appreciated so I can tuck it up and move onto another skin

Well I think it looks really nice. At first I thought it was a bit dark but once I had got used to it I found that mostly the words are far easier to pick out than on the default skin. When you click on the thumbs up icon though the white toolbar makes it hard to pick out the text. Maybe different colour text or toolbar would help . It goes with my favicon though! Well done Lill Helper!

Looks OK, The white text I like, but I lost the separations lines, the vertical and horizontal ones in the forums, and only the vertical in threads. I wonder if it is possible to make the links colored, and different color for visited ones.

I like the default, but I'll check out the other skins, too.

I agree with Sargon about the separation lines. Without the horizontal ones it can be difficult to distinguish one post from another sometimes. Vertical ones would help as well but my main issue is with the horizontal ones.

I like the red skin, easier on the eyes, but we really need the separation lines.

I can tell this is going to be a realllly long process ... lines are back in for those who want, and another version for those who don't. I'll sort the link colours out laters
