Someone asked in main forums how I adapted this tutorial to the non curved 3D text. I did put a tutorial together but basically it is the same thing without the curved part and some minor adjustments, is it ok if I post the tutorial here of course with credits to yellowmans tutorial? Or what is the correct way to do it?

I saw your text effect on the main forum, it is awesome, and it has a shadow which is not existed in the curved text tutorial. So my suggestion is yes please go ahead and publish it on the main board (someone already asked for a tut of your effect). You don't need to give any credits to yellowman (which is me sargoniii) because I see it is not the same exactly.

Thank you! It really is pretty much based on your tutorial so I thought I would post here instead as I am not sure if it fits the guidelines in main forums . Main forums is a bit scary... I also made a quick try with Point Blur like you suggested but I actually liked Zoom blur result better.

Any tutorial that teaches new tricks is welcome at Fans.
Helping each other out is what it's all about
I was chilling last week and got to thinking about me actually sticking to something on T'internet for so long. I think the reason is twofold. A.) PDN is great piece of kit. B.) A great community.

Main forum is much less scary than it used to be.
Totally agree with "great community" here!

Yep - this is still the place to be.The first PDN forum I registered with all those years ago , and still the best. I just noticed I`ve passed 1000 posts! I`m now a Grand Master. God now I really am starting to feel old! ;D
