Gosh, Goonie, these guys must have a really critical eye (in a good way). I would never have picked up on any of those things.
We are learning along with you, even if we don't use the program.

I have to get around to rendering the stadium in Kerkythea...my bad.
Nice work on the bird table. Hope you make some more of those.

Still not done? Honestly - some people! Tut. tut. tut. ;D There`s no hurry Lance, just do it when have the time - but I`m looking forward to seeing how it comes out. That`s why I joined the SketchUcation forums. While I do get a lot of help here from you guys it always pays to have a second opinion.

Here`s the finished bird table with the textures adjusted and some adjustments made to the feet. I`ve uploaded this to the 3D Warehouse. I just noticed - someone has downloaded the computer workstation I made to use in their project! Great stuff. The feet - And the top -

It's so hard to believe that you didn't get your carpentry tools out & make the table & then use your fabulous camera & photograph it. The base esp is so realistic. I love the shape on the peak. The round column are different but there seems to be a bit of jaggedness there or is that just part of the pattern? Also maybe the roof needs to overhang the columns a bit? I also like the colour/pattern of the roof a lot. Well done Goonie!

I have to agree with barbie. I would think that you did this with carpenter tools. Wow.

Thanks Barbie You must have a lot better eyesight than me because I`ve tried to see those jaggies but can`t find them. I agree about the roof though. It would look better with an overhang. Helen , it`s been interesting to see how things are put together with all the different joints - and just as interesting trying to re-create them in SU. Here`s the modified roof. Definitely looks better.

On the close up they are not there. I'd say that it is where one column hides behind the other. I adore the new version.
I'd put that in my garden any day. Love the roof! Definitely look better with an overhang. Well done!

You have more confidence in me than me that`s for sure! ;D Interesting design though. Thanks Helen. According to the guys on the SU forum the wood texture is still not quite right. But I can only use what is in the program.

Goon, that's why I told you to use bump map, that'll give the texture the realistic look. If you can't do that in ShaderLight, then you are S.O.L. Sorry, mate.

Thanks BP , Chris & Pixey. Lance it was not so much the bump map that was pointed out , more the fact I used the same wood texture as with the last one. After looking up S.O.L. I could be a number of things - Serial Over Lan, Scandinavia Online, Statue Of Liberty ( ;D), Symphony of Light or even the Secretary Of Labour. But I think you really mean Sadly Outta Luck. And you might be right. I am hoping the new version of Kerky will work for me when it comes out. Until then Shaderlight will have to do. Bare in mind though that I only have the limited free version so it`s not really fair to right it off completely. The full version probably has better bump settings. You just have to look at some of the renders on their website to see its a pretty good program.

Absolutely amazing work you've been doing in SU, mate. Love the bungalow images and all the bird table ones. I can't see anything wrong with the wood textures The beauty of wood is that it comes in so many guises and I think you've used it well to recreate something very photo-realistic. It may just be my eyes, but the roof finial looks ever so slightly 'off' ?
