The first one is kinda cute - love the eyeballs. The second one is good. The third one I cannot help but think of a thistle coming out of chocolate.
The sun image just blew me away! It looks like glass. Man, if you put that in glass on eBay I'd buy it for sure! Same goes for those glass chillies. I like the idea that some are opaque & some are clear.
What a great job you did! I hope to see some more of these sensational images!

Certainly looks like you are having some fun there! I also like the best the glassy look of last images .

The sculptors are great! The last two (the sun and hot peppers) look like glass. Very nice work!

Wow...they are all awesome, but the Sun and the Chillies blew me away! If you did sell them on Ebay, somebody would buy them.

They're all cool. I love the sun! I could find a place for it in my house.
I was looking at the Sculptris website last night, and it really looks like fun.

Fascinating. The green face looks like one of those sculptures some artists sell for loots of money. But you have to bee famous to do so. But the sun is really my favorite. Booth funny and surrealistic. Rather kich. But something you cant help smiling at.

These are all good images but I like the Chilli Peppers the best. I think you`ve done a great job getting the shape right and the background is just like a decorative glass panel. Seems like you enjoy using this program.

Thanks everybody ! I should have mentioned that the face (second image) is a WIP of a warrior's head. I've never done a human face before so it's a long term project. I'm also working on some other fruit to go with the peppers but I got distracted today and made this. Turtles and shark modeled in Sculptris, image assembled in Paint.net. I call it "Sea Turtle Escape". I have a lot of work to do on the shark, but it's getting there. I'm thinking a dolphin might be fun to try.

Best yet! The shark is shiny but not too shiny and the shape is just right. The turtle actually does look frightened as if it`s swimming for its life. I think it`s the excellent work with the eyes that achieves this. Great background as well with the light rays streaming down from the surface. I love this image. Of course the turtle did escape in the end - didn`t it?

Of course the turtle did escape in the end - didn`t it? Yes, both sea turtles escape. I've always had a thing for sea turtles. When I was a kid, I carried around a little sea turtle sculpture in my pocket. It was only about an inch and a half long and made from plastic, but I loved to look at it and think what it would be like to be like one of them. I'm glad you guys like it. ;D

That is cool! I downloaded Sculptris yesterday. So far I've played a little, but I don't have a clue. Might be a while before I do anything more elaborate than a blob. It actually makes me want to play with my real clay which I haven't touched in ages.

It actually makes me want to play with my real clay which I haven't touched in ages. That's exactly how I feel about it. I have a potters wheel I haven't touched in years. I'd like to get it out of the barn and make some pots this summer. Access to a kiln has been a problem in the past but maybe I can come up with something. It's very therapeutic. Keep trying and maybe watch some of the video tuts. You'll get the hang of it sooner than you think. ;D

Possum, when you get that wheel out, put the kettle on for coffee - I'm coming over!
I'd love to try pottery again. Kiln access is always a problem. I should really investigate this further.

All of your sculptris pieces are amazing! The peppers and "escape" are my favorites!

Possum, I looked at some of the video tuts, and played a little more, and made some more elaborate blobs. This is like the Plasticine days, where I would make something, look at it, squash it up, and make something else. My 'real clay' is polymer clay, so no kiln required, just a toaster oven. But the place where I usually set it up is occupied with other stuff right now, so I don't have room to work. And it isn't my stuff, for a change! Can I come over and watch you and Barbieq? I've always wanted to do real pottery. ;D

I've always wanted to do real pottery. ;D I love polymer clay ! I have a bunch of it. I even have one of the pasta makers that rolls out the clay in perfect sheets and a dedicated toaster oven to bake it. I used to make a lot of beads and then would make macramé necklaces and bracelets. My wife still wears some of them. I still make the occasional key chain or Christmas ornament. Room to work is a problem for me as well. I have a workhorse folding workbench, but it seems that it's always in use with a computer or something like that. I used to make little sculptures like dolphins and sea turtles. I guess that's why sculptress is so appealing to me. @ Barbieq, that would be wonderful if we could all get together and drink coffee and work on art together. It would be like one of those little art retreats you would see in the movies. When and if I ever get to retire, that's what I want to do. @ Helen, Thanks ! I really appreciate your and Chrisco's comments on the other forum as well. I didn't think anyone would mind me posting them there since I did use PdN in the creation of them. I love having this forum where we can post our "other" artwork!

I have 3 pasta makers - and a husband who goes to garage sales. He'll buy anything related to any hobby I've thought about doing. I've made a lot of beads too, jewelry to sell at a craft sale, and some tiny vases. I have a bunch of things covered in clay, like cans to use for pencil cups, and glass candle holders. And a lot of "experiments". I'll definitely be playing more with Sculptris. I love that we can post other artwork here too.
