Yes, Talisman is just flawless indeed. I can see it on a biker's hand, probably riding a Harley I also like the draught's and the board which are perfect in B&W. Great pieces Welshy

I love the background as much as the the metal surround & the gem itself. A stunning piece that I would be proud as punch to own & wear. Beautiful work Welshy!

Well set, opalescent gem with a hint of the highlights showing or reflecting on the background panels. Good emboss feel to those spiral-graphs as well.
No sense of scale which is nice. Only mention it because of the boxing effect which is normally to help set scale or something similar. Helps the illusion of sending yours eyes about looking for a hint.
Curious what you're doing with the tool. Hope the tut comes out before you tire too much of spinning everyone around a center point. ;D

Wow Welshy Talisman is amazing, and the background is fabulous, I can see an eye in the gem, great piece mate, and everything about it is great. And Failure, is awesome, the chips as they are not falling randomly had already been discussed, and that doesn't really bother me, but using the same distance for the shadow on each set, is really confusing the depth, especially the white ones, but I like it , the depth is still so effective though.

I agree with everyone else, Talisman is beautiful. For some reason though, it seems a bit off to me. I can`t even say why, maybe it`s the angle or something. The angle of the front part suggests to me that you should be able to see part of the actual ring behind. Everything else is beautiful. The background alone is a work of art.

Mirror Mirror is superb Welshy. Smooth swirly texture in the background combined with the small details around the mirror work beautifully. Lovely deep colors as well some nice reflections/highlights on the mirror itself. Nice one mate. 12-1? That`s a real mauling.

Wow, Welsh. That's superb. I have to tell you one thing. It's so weird. I was looking through a few people's galleries on this board and then I visited your gallery and saw "Talisman" again. I thought to myself, that would be cool if Welsh makes something similar, but more like cluster-type jewels all around and put something in the middle. I was pleasantly surprised to see, "Mirror, Mirror." I couldn't believe my wish came true so quickly. The bridge image is utterly stupendous. I love the perspective and the glow/highlight right on the sphere. Very beautiful!

Oh boy - that really made me smile. What a fab image. I cannot decide if it is a gem that I am looking into or a portal to somewhere mysterious & I am half expecting to see my face staring a=back at me. The little pearls are just so perfect. A truly wonderful image! ;D

Very nice. Looks like you're perfecting that kaleidoscope approach. Nice satin like pillow background. Crown jewels dont have it so well ... Plus of course, glad to see this gallery unlock and back in action. Welcome back even ...

Yay! Welshy's gallery is open again! Mirror Mirror is gorgeous. I love the jewels around the mirror and the satiny background. And I wonder what I'll see in the mirror, hopefully not my reflection. It makes me look forward to watching Once Upon a Time. A Bridge Too Far is great. I love the background and the orb. Cool!

@ Goon' ... thanks mate, I tried to make a cheery image with just a hint of eeriness ;D 12 - 1 ... a fricking disgrace and shambles. Could have Should have been 20 @ least. The pitch was crap, the weather worse and the ref even worser but none of it an excuse when over half the team turn up with hangovers ... and your centre forward can't get out of bed. None of them got their match fees and they are going to drop with exhaustion 2moro night in training The sad thing is mate, it's not Mickey Mouse football ... 3 promotions and it's the Welsh Premier and a route into the Champions League play-offs. ... the worst thing is, I wasted 8 hours of my Saturday what with travelling etc @ Helen ... Be careful what you wish for ;D Many thanks ... I'm happy you enjoyed it ... but you really don't want me in your head ... It's scary for me, and it's my head @ BarbieQ' ... I was the same. It started out as a gem but being in a totally pissed off mood when I visited it again, it became a portal. How weird the mind can be ... Many thanks @ Del' ... many thanks. I never realised before what a great manipulator Kaleidoscope is. Once again Sargon' is da man who clears the wool out of my eyes ... and the plan is to start a Kaleidoscope 101 thread where we can can all learn from one another. (And a P.I. one ...) Crown Jewels? There's only one set I'm protective of ... ;D @ B'Penny ... Many thanks. I'm lucky; for some reason I never see my reflection ... I've never seen Once Upon a Time, but it looks interesting after googling it. My wife is into things this. Talking of TV programmes, we were talking about one set in Canada the other day, but couldn't remember what it's called. About 2 P.I's named Doyle. A bit of a light-hearted drama. Any ideas ? ------------------------------------------------------- Rage ... I couldn't think of a better title

Lovely. Of course, like you, I'm partial the darker tones. Hence lovely to me.
First impression is of a vault set into a bookcase. But metal bound books for some sci-fi like steam-punk-esque gothic realm of the imagination ...
And then of the stylings of David Lynch's Dune (dont recall who did the artwork blends to give more credit than that) ... Gothic wonderland in shadows and chrome.
(we'll not get into the horrors of what Herbert allowed him to do to the book ... that could be it's own darn forum ... )

Once again you amaze us all with your stunning texture work Welshy. Superb. I really like this one. It reminds me of a big time machine where you jump through and come out the other side somewhere or sometime totally different. I can see where the bookcase idea from Del comes from though. Great image once again mate. Well done.

Fantastic work on the latest 3 mate, The Bridge is excellent, I like the shadow of the globe on the bridge and the light of the sky behind and how it is reflecting on the bridge by the globe. The mirrormirror is like a real piece of jewel floating on red paint surface, well designed welshy, it is really hard to tell that you made it with Kaleidoscope, you've managed it so perfectly, I love it. But the Rage is just awesome, the background is so beautiful , lol. I am thinking like Goonie, to jump in it, but I am afraid see myself in Vegas.! Great job mate

Sliding doors & wall is what it makes me think of. You know the ones that shift & reveal something else entirely & if you are not careful you will get pushed over the brink into the abyss. A wonderful dark, moody piece with the most fantastic textures that you can look at all day long & still want to look more.

wow. words cannot express how great the last 3 images are!
Mirrormirror is amazing. the detail of the design is unreal. I just love it.
A Bridge too Far looks like the earth is coming right at me and fast!
Rage is actually a bit scary to me. It's like looking right at the head of a bomb about to be launched. Amazing detailed work. THe background is a piece of art all on it's own.

Like Helen, I really don't know what to say. Wonderful texture and so much detail! It's like a sci-fi scene. Talking of TV programmes, we were talking about one set in Canada the other day, but couldn't remember what it's called. About 2 P.I's named Doyle. A bit of a light-hearted drama. Any ideas ? Um, Republic of Doyle? I've seen it advertised and in the TV listings, but haven't watched it. I don't watch a lot of Canadian made shows, because they're not usually very good.
