I see you nominated me for King of PDN! Thanks very much Sargon. I think it went to the right person though. All kneel before the new King Welshy of Paint.Net Land! ;D

Congratulations to all who won the Forum Awards. I noticed most of the winners are from Fans, and you all have made Fans very proud.
Keep up the good work and let's run the table again for the 2011 awards.

Thank you all who nominated me. I am just happy that a lot of the winners were from Fans. Yay! Wait...and is Sarkut the new mod on the main board? If he is, that's soooo cool!

I always thought those awards are lame , I never won anything either . I see those people didn't even vote for a hit and miss , goes to show how crappy that board is ..

I was a little bummed to get troll of 2010...but what can I say? 2,000 posts in a year. But what is funny is I even voted for myself in that category. I am just happy I was runner-up on the Marlboro award and the Rookie of the Year. I was also nominated on a few others, which was awesome. Thanks and Congratulations to everybody who won!

Good to see most of the winners are from Fans - shows what a great forum this is and how much we can learn here.

I always thought those awards are lame , I never won anything either . Don't remember seeing your name on any posts there. Maybe my memory is worse than I thought. Those who were nominated worked hard at helping others & were very active on the board or on Fans. It wasn't a lottery. I was hard work & dedication that got the winners & runner-ups nominated. Given that I have not revealed who I nominated other than Chrisco for the Marlboro award, your statement is not true. I nominated AFG for the Hit & Miss because I really miss him. In case you missed that part of the post here are the nominees & winners in this category: I'm not in a particularly tolerant mood today for whiners. The city I live in, our state capital, the community I left less than a year ago has been hit by the worst floods imaginable. We are cut off from each other & there has been heavy loss of lives. Unfortunately there have been some looters & now people in danger refuse to leave their properties, endangering their lives & possibly those of their would-be rescuers. Nobody is WHINING! Some have been hit by floods for the 3rd time since Christmas. The main board sux mainly because there are too few people making a positive contribution. What is YOUR contribution? Chrisco, honey, Mimi Bombeck eh? Your contribution has been great. Don't take it the wrong way. You are one of those wonderful people who doesn't sit back sniffling & waiting for someone to make things better - you get off your butt & do it!

Barbie, I wonder why a lot of people quit on the main board. I mean, I've been there since 2007 and it was so lively. Now, however, it's like a repellent for me to even go there. Hmmmm...I wonder what happened.

I was talking about the awards from 2009 in that I never won anything . You don't see my name there because I am not registered as Beyond Redemption , I was SokaGirl ^_~ if you would have read the other thread under the meet and greet you would have seen what I wrote . Never mind now it's all water under the bridge and congratulations to all who won ..

Patty, I wish they had an Abstract Award. You'd win that one in the blink of an eye. You create such wonderful artwork!

Thanks barbieq, you are so nice. Yeah, Patty and Heat Stroke would be neck and neck for that one. They both are such fabulous abstract artists. -- And I think the reason for everyone leaving the main board is becuase they get mad that they are getting constructive criticism. Or a mod is sarcastic at them and they take it seriously. There are a lot of immature babies there and they need to get over it and move on. Don't get me wrong, it is a great forum...but you know. ( ) I really appreciate everyone in the Fans crowd, everyone is so nice, and is just so helpful. I cannot tell you how much help I have received from Fans and I want to thank everyone here for it.

Picasso Award And I think the reason for everyone leaving the main board is becuase they get mad that they are getting constructive criticism. One of the main reasons I'm not as active as I was there is the distinct lack of constructive criticism. I also don't comment in many galleries there as the lack of manners really gets up my nose. Time is precious to me and if I comment and get no thanks for it, then I won't bother again. I think it's NOOBZ and Sfifer the 2 recent blacklisted ones. I'll tolerate a lot, but being blanked is not one of them. That goes for real life as well as forums. Congratulations to all winners, runners up and nominees. Many thanks to anyone who voted for me ... I got 5 winners right ...

Never mind now it's all water under the bridge and congratulations to all who won .. Patty & Helen the main board is suffering because not enough good people like those here post there. Sokagirl gave me a great deal of encouragement & it really saddened me when she left. True we don't get a lot of comments or critique on our work we post. On the other hand people do look, as Welshy can tell you. I looked a lot before I was game to post anything & it was Goonie who encouraged me to do so. Patty knows just how much I care for her & her art. I miss you, Patty, on the main board. You had a lot to contribute even if you didn't win a thing. There are some great new people there who deserve some encouragement. What worries me is that if the main board dies, there will be no new plugins & the program itself will sit unfinished on Rick's hard drive & we will have to use some other second-rate program to create our art. Please don't let this happen. The main board needs us too. It really is up to us to make it better than what it is now. We know we have great people here so let's make a difference where it's needed. Patty, please put your gallery up here & I'd really like to see you back on the main board too. I've seen some really great works you've done lately in PDN or modified Mandelbulb creations with PDN on dA.

I'm sorry barbie , I just got so irritated at the main board . I left because I felt I was going nowhere with anything , only one or two comments which are from you and Helen . Now with fans at least I got more comments , if I were to create something I would want people to at least take a few minutes to say what they thought of it . so I'm not sure if I ever want to come back there but I do want to do something here , I might give it a trial run someday but not right now I have too much on my plate and I do appreciate it barbie and everyone who has all the confidence in me , means the world to be welcomed ;D

Ok, sneak up on it slowly then, Eleanor. Caroline is waiting I'll be making a more concerted effort to make meaningful comments. It takes a bit of practice & is a skill that needs to be built up, involving asking oneself searching questions such as exactly why do I like this? What am I seeing here? What does it remind me of? How does it make me feel? etc etc etc... Anyways good to have you here too!

I admit I haven't spent a lot of time at the main forum, except for a quick glance around and to check out the plug-ins. I have a hard time making constructive comments, and actually answering barbieq's "searching questions". I guess I'm like my dad - I want to get my point across with as few words as possible. But I will make an effort. Like Welshy, I get tired of the rudeness, especially from some of the mods. Yes, people post without reading the rules, but a simple correction will do. And rudeness from the mods encourages rudeness from the members. It also takes time to follow a number of forums, and some of us don't have great time management skills.

TheBad1: That's the award. Okay. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to critique people's work. Besides, art is in the eye of the beholder anyway (as I see it). If there are mistakes that I notice, I'll point them out, but other than that, I can't bring myself to critiquing.
