@ afg. What you say dose make it look more like the blue planet is further away. But it looks like it is going to be a kind of a balancing act. Because i also want he entire picture to have some bright colorers. On DA i moved and rotated the small planet a bit. I don't think it really helped, but anyway. Thanks for your comments; i will keep them in mind next time.

I think the background ,the planets and the spaceship are fabulous.A bit different from the usual space-scape. The background is class.

Fantastic space scene. The texture of the planet is very authentic-looking and cute spaceship

@ Dug. Glad you like it. I did try to make this look a bit deferent then other spacescapes. Sort of with a little less bells and whistles. But trying to make the effects that are there more noticeable. @ Pixey Thanks, the surface of the planet was made in several days. So i i cant remember how many layers i used. @ Heat stroke Ha, ha. that space ship is not really original. It is from an idea i got from an old carton that has just been reprinted. But i kind of like the lean look of it. New update on my DA. A few photos and this. Unfortunately DA is not working correct at the moment, so i see people commenting in my message center, but not on the deviation itself.

Another clean, crisp well drawn image. The background just adds to it.
I had a quick look through dA earlier and one shot jumped out at me ... the one in the concrete planter. Beautiful

Poor Bart. Nice expressions and positions. I would never think a person outside the Simpson-artist world did this. You do exceptional work, leif.

You always manage to capture the expressions perfectly to fit the scene and a great choice of background texture.

A very nice outcome. I like the clean lines & the shadows are perfect for it. The hair, of course is really very good. I like the short, curly style - very cheeky. Well done!
It may be mature content but it is tastefully done.

As you already know I love your style of painting, this one is no exception, great colouring and shadow. It could be viewed as mature by some but through the eyes of an artist it is simply a wonderful painting in a unique style.

I like the outcome. Very effective. I think it would look great ina card or as part of a larger image. Edit: It really looks better in the larger size

Very nice - I like the effect.
How do I remove the mature content filter on DA? Do I have to be a member?
