Very nice, I like the idea and the way you have put everything, I was so sad to see those riots, hope everything is solved now, we need everything to be OK so we can enjoy the coming Olympics Just one thing and I am sure you can fix it is the jaggy edges of the rings and turn the dark blue one to black and white., great image Manc.

Awesome piece Manc on the Olympic poster. Very nicely done and with a 'message' worth noting. I'm certainly very ashamed of my country at the moment I was thinking of you when I heard the riots had made it to Manchester. Sorry I missed the Ghost pic too ............ really spooky

Heh, yeah. Sad to see that people can be so destructive. The Olympic rings and the riot pictures is dramatic contrast with the subtle connection of the flames. Well chosen and dose makes you think.

I have to say the poster makes one shakes his head at the latest news out of England. I don't think it has anything to do with the killing of the cab driver. I suspect it has something to do with what happened in the Middle East. It reeks of an uprising against the ruler of London.
Anyway, I think the poster, aside from needing cleaner edge, speaks a strong message about the embarrassment of the security situation, and London's aspiration to host the Olympics.

I think Lance has a point about the poster Manc, it does need a little cleaning up here and there, but otherwise is well put together and unfortunately very appropriate for the times.
Lance this has nothing to do with the Middle East, the driver or anything. It`s just out and out brutal, mindless thuggery. A peaceful protest was hijacked and used as an excuse for it all. I saw a headline in a newspaper today saying `Bring back National Service! ' . Good idea.

Thanks Sargon,I've changed it a bit. In my defense it was very early morning when I got the idea. Then banged it together in a couple of hours.Ps,thanks for your tut that I used on the new rings. Thanks Pixey, glad you like it.I was miles away from the riots.cheers. Thanks Leif Cheers Lance and Gooney,as you can see I've cleaned it up. Gooney is right Lance, just mindless thugs jumping on the bandwagon. Thanks Helen.

Wow, awesome image Manc. I've only seen the fixed image btw. LOL I only hope that one day I can "bang" something together in a couple of hours like that! Powerful message. Thanks for sharing. I was having artistic block today and seeing the rings and the ribbon running through the words has made me want to experiment with something like that. yay!

Nice work mate.
Serious and humourous ... never a bad combination.
Mindless. Thugs - just 2 of the words I've seen in here. Sadly people from all walks of life took part. Makes a mockery of those who have died in wars to give scumbags like this a chance in life.
National Service for Brits who took part a good idea. As long as there's none of this 'human rights' crap. You should lose them once you become anti-social Repatriation for foreign nationals who took part and are convicted. .. again none of the human rights crap ... no matter how many have bonded with pets ( it's true. A rapist couldn't be deported because his cat would miss him)
Also hit the wealthier families for assets towards damages.
OR as the UK government will do - sweep it under the carpet, keep giving benefits and listen to the Ivory Towers that is the EU

I liked the first version, new and improved is even better. Great message, and well done.
Sometimes I wish I were a judge, so when one of these idiots comes to court with their case I can say "You've got to be kidding me. Get the hell out of here."
At least rioters have been charged there. The Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver was two months ago, and no one has been charged yet. Sad to say, I was not surprised, and it would have happened whether they won or lost.

I can only agree with what people have said before me about your image. Good stuff!

It might be mindless thuggery, but I am seeing things differently, and it comes from a very paranoid anti-social fella.

New picture is even better. But it is one of those pictures that don't have to be perfect because it has such a strong message. It is in many ways surrealistic to think bout the Olympic flame as the symbol of so many positive things. The symbol of so many dreams. But also the extravagance in the commercial part of the games. This in contrast to the fire used in such a destructive way. Surely the young people are in desperate situation, but i see no way they can gain sympathy by rioting in that way.
