Echoing everything everybody has said before me mate.
We've all got to start somewhere, no matter what we're doing. Paint.NET is my only foray into anything artistic and believe me mate, some of my unshown stuff is absolutely awful. I was lucky that Oma took me under her wing and offered loads of advice behind the scenes. Plus all the great support from a lot of friends here kept me going.
Hopefully this board will help all of us along the way.
Don't worry about not being 'original' mate.
Look at something whether it be an image you see online, or something in your every day life ... put your own spin on it. Like you have with your images from my tuts ... you've put your own stamp on them and made them unique to you.
... and very good they are too

You should never be scared of posting your work. I haven´t been around here very long but all the people here are very supportive and helpful and it doesn´t matter if you are just a beginner or more advanced user of pdn. Tutorials and trying to recreate things you have seen is actually very fun way to learn things and I am sure most of us have started that way and still do it because it really is a neverending learning process. What is cool is that while learning the tricks and techniques you will get your head working and suddenly tons of ideas for original artwork too .

Like the light reflection on the shield it gives it a lift and makes it more 3D, nicely done.

The first art class I took was called "Drawing for the Completely Untalented". It was $5.00 cheaper than the regular drawing class and the title made me laugh. The important thing, to me anyway, is have fun with it and don't take it too seriously.

Thanks Lance,Welshblue.Ella,Afg and Blackpenny.I appreciate your helpful comments.I feel a bit better now about posting work.I did actually have some formal art training in the seventies, long time ago now,but never kept up with it.Started sketching again last year and even bought a couple of canvas's to paint.Well couldn't get into it again,I think if you don't use it you lose it. . Anyway, will stick with pdn now, there is more than enough to learn.

I don't think you should be afraid to post your art. Do what you really, really like and try to make it in PDN. You'll get better over time, but I think you already have that "oomph" in your work.

I do love that super shiny text!A very nice work. You do great art! I really hope to see some more from you. There is a lot of talent just waiting to pop out.
Just one small critique & that is the water needs to move over to the right edge a bit more.
Concept & execution is fabulous! I'd love to see more like this!

That is very nice, I love the colour. And now I have a song stuck in my head, but that's okay because I like the song. "Blue moon.....you saw me standing alone.....without a dream in my heart.....without a love of my own"

Beautiful use of just a few colors. Makes it fit well with the atmosphere of a night time pix. The letters are fascinating and changes the entire pix into something surrealistic. Great work.

Thanks Pixey and JD,glad you like it,I tried a lot of different text before I remembered Sargons tut. . Barbie thank you for your comments and pointing out the gap in the water,I didn't even notice it.It was because I had the layer window just on the edge of the canvas. . Thanks BR. Blackpenny, happy you like the song,it's my football team's Lief and Heatstroke I'm happy you like the colours and the text, as you can tell my favourite colour is blue. .

Blue Moon is very nice, some transparency to the text, and a reflection for the moon in the water will complete it, just an idea, I like it just like that.

Thanks for suggestions Sargon.I did try some transparency on other texts but I sort of forgot about the idea. .I tried reflecting the moon in the usual way but I thought it didn't look right but nice idea. Thanks for looking.

;D In what country is those valid? Great work, i was a bit confused by the color, but then realized it is cobber. (Not used in our coins.) The 3D effect is well balanced and the picture is nicely changed in to two colores.
