Very beautiful orbs!

Better , but I think you really need a `floor' for them to be sitting on to get the best effect. At the moment there is nothing for them to reflect against so to me it doesn`t seem quite right. But it is still a lovely image and I like it a lot.

@lance: Thank you! Glad you like it!
@goon: I see your point, but I like to keep my glossies as simple as I can. It's just my style.

And what a superb style you have ! Agreed I love the whole look and 'feel' of the orbs. Great colour choices once again I'm not the best glossy maker but maybe lowering the opacity of the reflections could give the image something ? But ignore me - a bit like teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, springs to mind

@goon: Thanks again! @bp: Thank you. I was trying to make something else, but it ended up looking like this, which I liked and kept it that way. @barbie: That was nice of you to say that! Thank you! @welsh: I was thinking about the opacity, too, but I was like, eh, I'll try to do that in my next one. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you. By the way, Venice asked me to upload some of my cat pictures, but I uploaded some of my dog, too in my DA account: CATSLassieJust a warning about my collie, she's a complete thief. Go see for yourself.

Metallic Glossies, are so beautiful, they look to me as buttons more than spheres. And the kitties and doggie are so lovely, I love both, but love cats more, the one on the chair is soooooo cute . very good shots...!

Heh, sorry for not commenting before. Metallic Glossies is such an intriguing idea. In some way quite simple. Three shapes with deferent colors. But when i look a bit closer many details emerge. And the background just works to break all the symmetry.

The metal glossies are superb - you always do these so well. As I mentioned on DA, the hand and the mouse image is absolutely beautiful

Grrr....I hate falling behind with the comments. But thank you to: barbieq blackpenny Sargon Leif Pixey Welshblue Pets are so much fun to have and it's very good that they don't mind playing dress up (for the most part). The new piece is a collab with Patty: Original Piece

Looks fantastic! Lovely colours and very realistic. Maybe just a slight issue with the bottom of the vase (perspective doesn`t seem quite right) but that`s all. Well done to both of you.

WoW - those carnations are so intricate and such vibrant colours. They are really beautiful and I love the texture of the vase as well. Perhaps, like Gooney mentions, the base of the vase could perhaps have a little tweak. Otherwise, a fantastic collaboration

awesome work Helen. I commented on dA, but hadn't seen the original image you started with. Amazing what a color change can do to something!

Huh, I would had sworn I posted somewhere in the mix back there. Argh. Maybe its my fear of Facebook manifesting itself ...
Though to be honest I saved several of these and have reflected on them for inspiration when I've been on my learning binge. Perhaps I looked at them and talked about them to myself so much I merely assumed I had posted those thoughts.
To save some space in the database, I'll skip the recent. ;D
I'm assuming its a fractal base. Lovely adaptation. Oddly enough because of what I did with those darn things and my head-space (go ahead, assume what you like there) I used to see fractals in everything to some degree or another. Thankfully I'm trying to make things look "like" a fractal which makes me address the problem a lot differently now.
Argh, I blathered. What I meant to get at was I like seeing fractals or fractal like (repeating geometric patterns) turned into or back into everyday objects.
Great color and perfect setting to not want to create a focus on anything but the whole. Kudos.

@goon: I wasn't focusing on the vase as much--I got carried away with the carnations. Thank you, Goon! Pixey: Please see Goon's answer. And yes, it was an amazing collab. @venice: I automatically thought of flowers for some reason when I saw the fractal without the black background. delpart: Thanks, delpart. You have commented on my work before. It was actually interesting that such ideas form from seeing fractals alone.

A truly lovely collab with Patty. Her bases are so good to work from & I have often encourage her to develop the pieces further. She has such great ideas but lacks the self-confidence. Still it must give her a buzz to see her work made into something like this. Again, a lovely work!

Barbie, self-confidence can only become stronger if she has support and it seems to me she doesn't have that chance as much as others do. She's a great person and she told me many times how she likes the end result of her fractals when doing a collab. Thanks, barbie.
