I had to revisit everyone's comment and click on every thumb-up icon, because I really don't have what to say, I feel she is just sitting before me, you know what? She would be so glad to have that nose you gave it to her, the hair is just fantastic, the eyes as well, everything actually is so very well done, you should be very proud of what you did. omG this image is talking, I give you 10/10.

OMG - I'm so sorry I've taken so long to thank you all for your wonderful comments on the Michelle Pfeiffer piece Helen - thanks for commenting again. Yes, it's tough 'painting' without the brushes in Photoshop. Perhaps it will get easier in time? Then again, perhaps Rick will give us brushes and 'sensitivity' one day ;D @gooney - Ha, ha .... love the big eyes. Thanks so much Ella - Yes, Bingo ..... it's her @bbq - Thank you I really enjoy doing eyes, I find them fascinating and they always turn out differently. AFG - Thanks a lot - you started me off on doing these, with your first tute. I'll never forget my shock when it all came together venicet - WoW! High praise indeed to think it looks like a photo. Many thanks @bp - So glad you liked it, thanks so much Leif - so nice of you to say that @sargon - You are wonderful to give me such high praise and I really appreciate it. Thank you so much Thank you ALL lots & lots - a great bunch you are too

Oooops - this will be a double post. I have a new portrait up and this time I used the software that Sargon uses, to record how it unfolded. It can be viewed here: youtu.be/XRiA_psdS3I

I ceased to believe that this was digitally painted. I don't know how to express how I felt when I saw this. This is just beyond amazing. It's phenomenal, it's impressive. It's невероятно (unbelievable) and изумительнo (stupendous)!!!! There are words in Russian that sound so much more powerful and have much more meaning than in English. I am in awe with your talent. There you go, Rick. See for yourself what your program can do!!!

Superb image. And a fascinating video seeing how it all came together. Really well done Pixey. Just one question. Do you use a graphics tablet like a Wacom or similar? I have often thought about getting one but never bothered.

Hi Guys & Gals ...... Helen - Oh wow! I love it when you talk Russian It looks and sounds really, really good and thank you so much for the lovely words. @bbq - Thanks so much and I'm so happy you like the result @bp - Honestly, it makes me all fuzzy inside to hear you say that, thanks a bundle @gooney - Great to hear from you and thank you. No, I couldn't get used to a tablet and just use my mouse Leif - Thank you so much. I'd love to see how you do your work, as it may be less time-consuming than the way I do it. I've just learned from watching other artists' photoshop tuts, but of course in Paint there are no brushes to paint with, so have to use the darn smudge tool BIG TIME

Leif - Thank you so much. I'd love to see how you do your work, as it may be less time-consuming than the way I do it. I've just learned from watching other artists' photoshop tuts, but of course in Paint there are no brushes to paint with, so have to use the darn smudge tool BIG TIME Probably NOT less time consuming. Some things i make in a few hours, but some of the big once takes a week or more. And as i have a confused mind ;D i often switch between several pictures. I have though about making a tut, but since i often do each pictures in different ways it is kind of hard. But basically i open some kind of reference in PDN. Make it about 3000 pixels high. Make a duplicate layer. Make that black and white and use posterzise to get an idea where to put the different kind of shading. Then i make a basic drawing like you do and put color on that. And then all the fun/work begins with drawing the shadings and so on. Last i blend the layers together. The big deference is that i use the line tool and not smudge. I newer really got the hang of that. But i hope that PDN V4 will some day include smudge that is not in a separate window. Hope that made some sense.

Fantastic work, really enjoyed watching the video, and it is easy to see you now have a good understanding of how highlight and shadow make a portrait believable, great work Pixey.

Excellent, totally agree with AFG, and everyone, this is really great, I like also the techniques you've used on the hair, I thought first it is just done with smudge, but after seeing the video I realized that some brushes were involved, well I like the idea of brush on the hair, I learned something new , thanks so much for the video. BTW, is that Debut screen capture? I am asking because the HD mode is not high quality, I remember when I first used it I had same thing, then after I played with the settings I got an excellent quality with a small output file size. Unless you edited in a different program before uploading it to YouTube, because this will downgrading the quality as well.

Thanks again Goonfella AFG - Yes, it's amazing how a shadow and highlight can make a piece come to life @sargon - I'm so glad you like it thanks so much. I was going to contact you about the Debut (as I got the idea from you) as I was surprised that it was not as clear as yours and I wondered why this was so. Perhaps I chose the wrong setting somewhere? I probably went with the default settings when I 'saved' it at the end.

Hello Everyone! It seems to have quietened down on here recently But, if it's because of Summer - then it's a great excuse. I've been playing with PDN again, in the Portrait mode once more: Megan Fox

I always joke with my brother that his portraits that he draws always blink or wink or smile and then go back to their normal positions because they look so realistic. Well, the same goes for you. I think that Megan Fox whispered something, but I couldn't tell what she was saying. Superb work, Pixey. Absolutely magnificent!
