Now that would be telling! ;D First rant of the year - my days off are usually Wednesdays so I was looking forward to having a nice 2 day break from work for the new year. Then last thing before I finished on New Years Eve I find that the bitch boss has moved my day off to Thursday so I don`t get 2 days in a row. Never asked if it was OK, whether I had plans for Wednesday or nothing, just did it . Rude, disrespectful, vindictive cow.

To give you some idea of how much she is detested by the staff - we regularly sit in the staffroom during breaks thinking of all the ways we could bump her off!
In all the years I have been working she is the worst manager I have ever had, without question.

That sucks, Goonie. I had a supervisor like that - I used to go to work early to sit in the coffee room with the other employees and bitch about her. She would tell you how to do something, then change how she wanted it done, but not bother to tell you. Where do these people come from?

Just watched the last ever episode of Sky at Night presented by the late, great Sir Patrick Moore. What a wonderful inspiration he was to younger astronomers. He will be sorely missed. I must admit that at the end of the program, as he said goodbye for the last time I had a tear in my eye. RIP Sir Patrick Moore.

Looks like it is my turn to have problems getting on DA. Haven't been able to access DA or ImageSchack for two days. Only able to see random pictures. A router or something must be broke somewhere.

I haven't done anything on dA in over a year, but I do log in from time to time. Right now I'm trying to learn about admin on this forum. We're being upgraded to v5, so there will be some changes. Something new to wrap my mind around. Yippee. And my mind is so fogged with this cold I've had for a week. I start coughing and go on for ages, but it sounds a lot worse than it is. I'm thinking of changing my name to Camille.

I try to visit each forum (DA included) so nothing will accumulate. It will be difficult to comment to each person. Heck, I have nothing better to do. ;D
@bp: Changing your name... that's funny. I hope you feel better soon!

Yes - tea with honey, or any warm drink. I'm drinking a lot of water too. And watching a lot of movies. I am feeling better now. There are a lot of colds and flu going around now, and lasting forever. Years ago I had something like this. The doctor I went to described the cough as 'infuriating'. Yep, that's the word.

Hubby is on vacation for a couple of weeks. Day 3 and he's driving me nuts already. Good thing it snowed. While he's home I'm not doing formal exercise, so I shoveled snow instead.

Yeah, I've thought about that. When he retires I think I'm going to get a job.

My rant- Windows 8! Had an update to Live Mail yesterday and ended up with no internet so I had to completey refresh the lappie to get it working again. So now I have to do all the things I asked the shop to before I picked it up all over again myself. Win 8 really sucks. The only good feature is the refresh option really.

I've heard bad things about Win8. I just ordered a new computer with Win7, I've been using XP and since it won't be supported anymore, I figured it was time to upgrade.
Good luck.

Update on my problem with 8 - turns out it was probably a dodgy Microsoft update and not Win 8 to blame. I have read about a lot of other people having problems with this whether they use 7 or 8. And yet others have updated without problems. Guess I was unlucky. What is irritating is that I forgot to make a copy of the Effects file in PDN so I have to reinstall my plug ins. Oh well I guess it`s a chance to only install the ones I use regularly. I had loads installed before that I hardly ever used.
BP - Win 8 might seem confusing at first but take your time and you will get used to it. There is a free update to 8.1 in the Windows Store but you have to make sure your machine is fully updated before it will show up. 8.1 gives you more useability and personalization options. Best is the fast boot up, being able to boot straight to desktop and getting the start button back, although you will still need a third party program to get the Win7 style start menu back. As mine has been refreshed I am back to Win 8 instead of 8.1 again. So that`s something else I am going to have to do when I have some time.
I guess 8 is slowly growing on me but I think I will still always prefer 7.
