Nice additions! The gold in Jump is nice and smooth, great message too.
The orbs with lace look good, I like the gold.

AFG, I had never heard that saying before but I think it's true. I know I haven't grown up yet LOL My body would disagree with that though. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. I'm crossing my fingers that Sargon doesn't look at this then because I had NO idea how to put in the reflection from the gold edge of the tray into the marble. I gave up and just moved the marbles back farther and hoped that meant they were too far to get the reflection. That's my story and I"m sticking to it! LOL
Barbie, I"m glad I"m not the only one that loves bright and shiny. Maybe I'll get over this fear of being too gaudy LOL The background is from some tut about floor tiles that I got carried away with. The original was a purple color but it was actually too overpowering as a color so I made it more grey. For once I actually took color away.
blackpenny, Thanks for the compliments. I love the lace look too and I"m pretty sure it's your tut I got it from isn't it? LOL ... I just looked to see and yes it is. So thanks for the tut. It came in handy for this one. It was so pretty I just had to use it in something. Welsh and Lance gave me pointers for the gold so it turned out better than it started.
I'm off to play Dungeons and Dragons shortly so no playing with PDN for a few hours. Just getting a quick fix in before I leave! LOL

Two excellent images venicet. I also like the background to the girl. I think it looks super. The orbs are nice and shiny and I like your choice of colours but there`s just one problem - you have too many orbs reflected in the rearmost one. There should only be the front one reflected , as there are only two orbs, but you have added another smaller one as well. I still like the image though . Well done, keep `em coming.

Venice - I got so enthralled with the Inner Child image that I forgot about the marbles one. I think Goonie is right about too many marble reflections. I am terrible at reflection/shadows. A good few people & a few good people ;D have tried to help me with this but I still struggle & cannot explain it unless it is a jewel one, since I have that down pat. My only suggestion is to test it out with something similar & see where the shadows fall & the highlights. Damn hard to get it right on an imaginary thing I think. Gaudy - have a look here: www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/gaudi/park-guell.html

"Make time for your inner child" image made me smile. I make sure I do that. It seems that people my age (in their mid-20's) got old way too fast. They seem so serious. Geesh. Enjoy your youth, people.
I love how you made it so happy. I love jump-ropoing, btw. I like your take on Sargon's tut with the metallic spheres. The design is beautiful.

Venicet, the lace is one of the rare instances where I actually know how I did it. I took notes when I was playing with the plugins, and even understood them enough to make the tutorial. I don't have a clue about reflections. I just follow the instructions. I don't wear bright colours, so I only get to use them in art. Muted colours suit me better and I don't like to call attention to myself.

Goonfella, Thanks for the suggestions. I went back to the tut and saw that there were two reflections in the ones shown so that's why I put both in. Then I realized that the orbs were further apart so it would make more sense to have reflections of reflections. Mine are too close together to need that. I went back to change it and wouldn't you know, that's the one I flattened by mistake and closed it before realizing what I had done. I'll have to try it over again soon. Barbie, wow, what a place. Have you actually been there? No worries about forgetting the marble one LOL That was basically just a tut, so nothing special. Glad you liked both though. I'm learning lots and will get this reflection and highlight stuff eventually. Helen, thanks for the comments. From the comments I've seen so far, I suspect almost everyone here is in touch with their inner child. So nice to see. (or should I say read about?) blackpenny, I'm so glad you remembered that tut! As far as bright clothes go, as a kid I loved bright colors for clothes. My mom made most of my clothes and let me pick out the fabric. All I can say is thank god I was a kid in the 70s! LOL I have to share a pic to show you what I mean.....please excuse blurriness. I need to rescan all my photos now that I can see how bad they actually are LOL I'm the one with the pink pants and the one in the orange, purple, black, and green outfit. LOL

Make time for your inner child. Isn't that what most of our PDN work is about? ;D

I think "Make Time for Your Inner Child" is the best you have made thus far. The gold is very pretty, and I love the background.

SargonIII, it's never too late to say hello. Thanks for the welcome and for taking the time out to view my work so far. I appreciate all the hints and suggestions everyone takes the time to send to me. I'm already looking at things so differently. I can't even look at a tv commercial without noting the font used and how it might have been put together digitally. I'm sure I still have tons to learn, but I'm enjoying it all tremendously. And the folks here are so warm and helpful.
Leif, I guess you are right. We are all like kids with their coloring books and crayons? LOL Gosh I remember being so excited to get a new box of crayons and a book of paper my Dad would bring home from work. *He worked at a paper mill* LOL
Lance. Thanks so much for the praise. It was the easiest to make so far once you and Welsh gave me the pointers on smoothing out the gold. I'm learning that complicated doesn't mean better!

Being a child of the 70s had its perks eh? I loved the fashion back then & all of the bright colours. Mind you my mother did not (still doesn't) share my love of bright colours. Lucky for me my hubby is much more indulgent.
Love your sig too!

Venice, I didn't see the new ones until I read Welshy's comment. WQW! I agree! What a brilliant job you did with that one - the gold is just awesome! It might be early for Christmas but what a lovely colourful image. I love it too. A great couple of images based on tutes that you have used to perfection. Tute writers are always pleased when you can take the concept & run with it.
Well done Venice!

wow, such high praise! Thanks Heatstroke, Welsh Blue and Barbieq. To be called an artist by someone from here is amazing. Barbie, I didn't post that I had two new ones because I was starting to feel like a stalker here, my name is all over the board as the last person to comment. LOL I was going to wait until I had more to post. But it's nice to see my work is noticed anyway. You have all made my day for me.

Helen, it wasn't the tut, it was me and my lack of concentration and not wanting to follow the instructions to the letter the first time. LOL It was only possible because of your awesome tut and my desire to make something remotely as good as yours. It was one of the first I tried when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. (antialiasing, levels, and the one that gave me the most grief DESELCT) I think I stuck to the learning so I could finally master your glossy orbs and Barbie's gold. Yours are so pretty I had to make some myself. Thanks so much for taking the time to write the tut.

It is quite easy for me, but those are the steps I usually take. I might get over 40 layers just to make one simple glossy. Glad you enjoyed my tut and mastered it very well. Your Christmas image is lovely. I've been humming Christmas songs since July.

Trying to replicate Helen's glossies is no easy task (I've tried and failed) you have done a great job with the tut, and I like how you have done the lights on the Christmas card. Oh to be back in the 70's, care free times and music at it's best
