No alpha masking Lance, only thing used that's similar during the initial stages was feather set at 2/1 to get rid of the slight AA problem through use of the ellipse tool to create the base sphere.

Great poster ! I love the rainbow colours on the triangle. I think `A Fleeting Glimpse ' would be a great name for an album.

Everything is so well done in this poster, agree with goonie about the triangle shape colors, they are really wonderful especially the glare/halo around it, and THE WALL is just great, amazing work mate.

Oh - Duh! Moi didn't realise there was a poster to look at I read your post and thought it was about the trip. WoW! The poster is fabulous - so clear, glossy and colorful. I don't think you need any help with a sig or an avvie

Great poser. Very symbolic. But be careful not to overdo it.

Simply stunning mate. I'm not a Floyd man myself, but love some of their album artwork and this shouts out. Love the triangle and glow, the colouring, the shapes (both straight and circular) ... in fact ... love everything

@ Pixey: I am really looking forward to seeing the sig & avvie, cannot think of a better way to get a sig & avvie than have my friends here make them @ Goonfella: cheers mate, album art is where my heart is, Roger Dean produced some stunning covers when he worked on Yes albums @ blackpenny: thank you @ Helen: thanks Helen, the clouds/nebulae are a reference to the Floyd album "Obscured by Clouds" @ Sargon: thanks mate, the idea of the triangle comes from "Dark Side of the Moon" and the track "Any Colour You Like", the Wall was created in photoshop, here's a thumb of the Wall. @ Chrisco: thanks mate, Pink Floyd has always been a band I love but it is a band that a lot of people do not like, but that's the great thing about music, there is something for everyone to enjoy @ Dug: Knebworth 1975 (I was 14yrs old), told my parents I was staying with my big brother and his wife for a few days, which was not totally untrue I just did not explain it would be at Knebworth in a tent ;D that was the first time I saw them, never missed a tour since then, even when it has just been Gilmour or Waters solo tours @ heat stroke: thank you @ Leif: I am laughing because I know exactly what you mean, I do tend to get lost in the work and keep adding as the imagination flows @ Welsh: cheers mate, yeah I have always loved Storm Thorgersons work, his ideas are fantastic, great imagination. Spent a great day with some of your fellow country men at the last rugby match, the rugby result was murder, but the company and craic that day was first class all the way (and so was the hangover the next day)

The Gateway was inspired by Sargon & Goonfellas spacescapes and Welshys latest work Once again it is a mix of PDN and Photoshop.

The Gateway is electrifying The people/aliens look like jelly babies And the colors are delicious - so vibrant and fire-like. Very polished result

Ok looks like the post about the poster did not go up. We did have some problems with the internet.
I love the poster! Fantastic colours & the elements work really well.
Gateway is fabulous too. A really warm image. I love the glow on the figures. I love seeing these new works from you that are so full of warmth & colour. Both are exceptional & very polished.

The gateway is a wonderfully blend of fantasy and just a little bit of realty. ;D The yellow / red lines as light source is so mind boiling. They seam so out of place, but still they look like they belong there. The two human figures makes it all look like it may all be happening in some spiritual world. Very inventive and original. And very clever rendering.

Great image afg. I like the idea of the gateway into space. I think it`s probably something we all wish for. Imagine - being able to step through and see the wonders of space. Amazing. Thanks for the mention by the way.

I am trying to find the tut I used to create the wall, it was one of those you stumble on after clicking a load of links and I think it may have been while I was looking for tuts on creating rock textures @ Pixey : Love the description of the aliens @ barbieq : I have found that using both PDN and Photoshop is helping a lot with what I'm trying to do, both have certain features that work better, a program that combined the best of both would be incredible to use @ Helen : The alien has been in a picture before (the first SAC on the main board), this time round I decided to make them more colorful @ Lief : When I was doing the image I was thinking about a program I watched a while back where one guy was claiming aliens are living on earth and traveling through the universe using gateways, is it fantasy or reality ? who knows but I love the thought of it being possible @ Goonfella : With out a doubt mate that would be incredible

I think everything has already been said. Yet another cracker! I love the whole image but the light reflecting on and seeming to be bouncing back off the wall is superb.Brilliant effect.
